LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - ABC is readying a concert film about Paul McCartney's most recent tour for the last night of November sweeps.

"Back in the U.S." will chronicle 14 weeks of McCartney's 2002 tour across 34 cities, featuring heavy concert footage and off-stage scenes with the ex-Beatle and his band. Cameras were allowed at soundchecks, in the band's dressing rooms and on the chartered plane they flew.

Don't expect to see a lot of turmoil or rowdy backstage antics, however. McCartney is an executive producer of the movie and was involved throughout its filming.

"This was a special tour for me in many ways, and I'm very pleased that this film has captured much of the magic of it all," McCartney says. "There's been this special camaraderie going on backstage with the crew and all involved in this tour, there's been an intimacy of a life on the road that I don't think people will have seen on a screen before."

Among the songs featured in "Back in the U.S." are Beatles tunes "Back in the U.S.S.R." -- from which the movie takes its name -- "Getting Better," "Yesterday" and "Let It Be," along with later McCartney works like "Live and Let Die" and "Something."

The movie is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET Wednesday, Nov. 27.

I had the pleasure of seeing Sir Paul at MSG on April 27 of this year - floor seats! What a great show. If you weren't able to go, you should catch this special or buy the DVD. Just pure greatness.

Oops, somebody didn't do their homework - everybody knows "Something" is a Beatles song from George Harrison that Paul is playing (allegedly on ukelele) as a tribute!

He did play "Here Today" on a ukelele, which was George's favorite instrument. It was quite moving.

Cool, looking forward to it already. I guess I'll have to tape 'Amazing Race' since it's on at the same time.

He played something on the ukelele for George. "Here Today" was a song he wrote for John Lennon after he was killed. I saw his show in Oakland and it was awesome. Can't wait to see the tv show.

Although, both songs were very moving. Sorry for the mix up.
