Sweet, some dates near me

I seriously never thought Axl would get it together and come out of hiding. I just hope it's not embarrassing, but from all the reviews, they've been really great live, and the MTV thing was the exception. Anyone have a release date for the album??

I was a Gn'R fan years ago and still break out the old stuff from time to time. But I think Axl Rose calling his band "Guns N' Roses" is comparable to David Lee Roth calling his band "Van Halen." Just a thought.

Any of you guys plan on going?? I've been a HUGE GNR fan back in the old days and I never got to see them live..but then again w/o duff and slash I don't think it would be the same.

I may just wait and read the reviews before I get my tix for the dallas show

    It doesn't matter.

Axl's gonna drop like a stone after trying run from one side of the stage to the other 15 seconds into the gig.

"This is a lttle prayer dedicated to the separation of church and state. Crown thy good into temptation but deliver us from the twilight's last gleaming. Amen and Awomen. ."

BTW, I now know for a fact that those are hair-extensions on Axl. About 3 years ago, he had a huge problem with hair-transpants (trying to fix a receding hairline and thinning hair) to the point where a sizeable chunk of the back of his head is horribly-scarred. The whole "operation" was a catastrophe and he decided to go to the extension-route to "thicken" up his hair. Little do alot of people know, but there are a few rockers that've worn (Gene Simmons, Kevin DuBrow, etc) wigs but Axl chose this direction with the braids because it (supposedly) doesn't look fake.

Hit the nail right on the head! Axle's has become (always been) an arogant bitch when it came to the band's name...

I would be surprised if this incarnation of GnR sells out 1/3 of those arenas listed. I know there are some diehard fans out there but Axl has been out of the limelight longer then Van Halen.

Man of the People, I agree with you. The promoter is going to go broke on this one.

You might be thinking of Paul Stanley on this one, not Gene. It's comon knowledge that Paul wears a wig on stage, and also has a toupee for when he's not on stage.

True, but I believe Gene wore one in the 80's during his "Hollywood" phase.

I can't believe they are actually touring in arenas. I thought maybe this would be a smaller setting - like 5,000 seaters or something.

I just don't see how they will fill up the arenas.

I don't know, maybe they think people will just see the name and run to get tickets without knowing it's only Axl and friends.
