Big Robert Johnson and Robert Cray fan here BWL!
Cray and B.B. make that six string sing. Saw Cray in a club here a few years ago and he blew my mind.

Hey Blind Willie Loons,

I saw in another thread you mentioned Koko Taylor......she played a BlueFest last year and the company I work for puts together a promotional video highlighting the event.....would you like a little "bootleg footage" of this classy lady.........just let me know and I'll hook you up.....

While I'm not a fan of Koko, she did command a lot of respect from the crowd and her fuckin' band was "tight".......she put on a great show for the fans and how old is she??????
Actually I think most of us are Dave, Sam, and Mike fans. There's just a small group of people who have strange allegiances and like to get into petty pissing contests that I can't believe everyone on this site isn't bored of. - Brett

Loons,

Good call. I got into the blues mainly because of the Stones. One of my favorite blues albums may be Live at Legends- Last Time Around by Buddy Guy and Junior Wells. It was the last performance they did together at Buddy's club in Chigaco. It's a stripped down show with Guy on an acoustic and Wells on harmonica, just the two of them. Highly recommend it. It has a very loose feeling to it.

As far as James Brown goes. His 40th Ann. 2CD collection finds a lot of time in my CD player. Sex Machine and Doin it to death are classics.

Back in Joliet we used to listen to Blues pickins of Elmore James and toe-tappin Boogie Woogie of John Lee Hooker. (Let that boy Boogie Woogie, it's in him and it's gotta come out.)
