Anybody else dig this band? They were the absolute shit!! One of the most underrated rock bands of the late 80's early 90's. Ray Gillan had god-like pipes. Led Zep on steroids.

I'm a big Jake Lee fan but thought Badlands were just OK. Check out the self titled CD by Arcade ('92?) it was Steve Pearcy from Ratt's band. Good shit!

Bandlands first album was GREAT - very bluesy, but heavy. I thought they were gonna be huge, but the sophomore jinx hit them big time. I lost that cassette years ago and had forgotten about them - I need to try to find the CD somewhere.

oh my G0d! If there was ever a cheezy "band your drumsticks against your head" cheese ass metal band it's Badlands

Jake E Lee or No Jake E Lee that singer ruins it with his Danger Kitty lyrics and poses!

The cheezy band you are thinking of must de Bonfire, my friend, and not Badlands.

The truth is that Badlands was an outstanding band, that came at the wrong time (fuck ass-wipe Nirvana and the Seattle so-called alternative bands). Ray Gillien had indeed an incredible voice. Unfortunately he died in 1994.

Jake E Lee has an incredible tone, especially in the first, self-titled Badlands album.

I didn't like the second album (Voodoo Highway) as much, but I thought it was good anyway.

Badlands' debut album has been re-released last year. Since I only had it in vinyl, I got one. Go and get yours today!

You guys made me go dig out their debut tape and while a little dated it does rock. I totally forgot about the kickass 'Highwire' riff.

You Badlands fans should check out their third release, Dusk, which I believe was only available on import until after Ray Gillen's death. It ranks somewhere in between their first and third CDs.

They are one of my favorite 80s bands, along with Spread Eagle ! And yeah, Eric Singer is one awesome skins basher....who HASN'T he been tied to?
I swear, it's like I'm playin' cards with my brother's kids or somethin'. You nerve-wrackin' sons-a-bitches.

You got me there, BKB. The closest I could come to a connection was when Eric was in a band called Glamnation, and they played Saturday Night's Alright For Fightin'......DOH !
