If any of you are like me then you are someone who likes a song that really gets the blood pumping. I thought of this topic because when my alarm went off this morning the radio station had just begun playing Thunderstruck. Normally I just hit the snooze bar a couple of times and eventually get up, but today I found it to be much easier to get up while listening to Thunderstruck, it has always been one of my favorites. Some of my other favorite blood pumping songs might be:

    Unchained
    T.N.T.
    Highway to Hell
    Mean Street
    Crazy Train
    Lunatic Fringe - Red Ryder
    Panama
    Whole Lotta Love
Living After Midnight - Judas Preist
    Eruption/You Really Got Me
    Even Flow - Pearl Jam
Let it Rock - Bon Jovi
Jump Around - House of Pain
    Whole Lotta Rosie

Those are just a few. I cant come up with any more right now. As you can see there is alot of VH and AC/DC in there, probably my two favorite bands so that is why, but I'm always looking for some new blood pumping songs to listen to, so give me some of yours!

God I forgot about "So What" that song is absolutely gotta be included!

What a kick ass song (with some seriously distorted, fucked up lyrics)

I have the original version too. the song was originally done by a punk band called: The Anti-Nowhere League. Any of you ever heard it?

(But I actually like Metallica's version better)

Same with "Last Caress/Green Hell". (Originally a Misfits song, but Metallica does a better job)

(I know mentioning Metallica around many people is like swearing in church. Everyone cringes and gives you looks!...)

But despite the whole Napster Bullshit, Metallica DID make their mark on rock and roll/heavy metal. No doubt.

Too bad they're so damn lame now.

Indeed, "So What" Kicks some serious ass. No, I have never heard the original. That whole double Garage, Inc. cd really rocks. A lot of people thought tunes like "Am I Evil" and "Blitzkreig" (sp?) were Metallica originals even though they are not. And your right....it's too bad they are so lame-ass now. I really dig the old stuff...from "And Justice" back.

Okay, let's throw a few out there:
U2 - "Where The Streets Have No Name" - especially the live version from "Rattle And Hum" (the movie - don't go "huh?" and start looking for it on your CD! Though I wish it was there.), "Zoo Station", "Bullet The Blue Sky" (live versions), "Desire", "Out Of Control", "I Threw A Brick"/"A Day Without Me" (live), "Even Better Than The Real Thing", "MOFO", "Two Hearts Beat As One"
Joe Walsh - "Rocky Mountain Way"
    The Beatles - "Revolution"
    B-52's - "Rock Lobster"
    The Vapors - "Turning Japanese"
Cheap Trick - "Surrender", "Gonna Raise Hell"
Def Leppard - "Pour Some Sugar On Me", "Animal"
The Eagles - "Get Over It"
    Fleetwood Mac - "Tusk"
Glenn Frey - "The Heat Is On"
Guns 'N Roses - "Welcome To The Jungle", "It's So Easy", "You're Crazy", "Rocket Queen", "You Could Be Mine", "Live And Let Die", "Back Off Bitch" and probably some others
Billy Idol - "Rebel Yell", "Don't Need A Gun"
    INXS - "What You Need"
    J. Geils Band - "(Ain't Nothin' But A) Houseparty", "Till The Walls Come Tumblin' Down", "Piss On The Wall", "Freeze-Frame", "Just Can't Stop Me"
KISS - "Rock And Roll All Nite", "Shout It Out Loud", "Calling Dr. Love", "God Of Thunder"
Lynyrd Skynyrd - "You Got That Right"
Paul McCartney/Wings - "Live And Let Die"
Pink Floyd - "Run Like Hell", "One Of These Days"
    ELVIS - "Burning Love"
Queen - "We Will Rock You"
Rolling Stones - "Start Me Up", "Little T&A", "Jumping Jack Flash", "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction"
Talking Heads - "Burning Down The House"
    Van Halen - that's why I'm here - ain't it!
ZZ Top - "Tush", "La Grange", "Sharp Dressed Man", "Party On The Patio", "Viva Las Vegas", "Velcro Fly"
I'm sure there are many, many others - but haven't I taken up enough space?

Eruption could be used to jolt ANYONE awake

I use that as well as anything else in my VH catalog that'll wake me up (the ever-expanding VH catalog). On Fire helps tremendously.

Non-VH music: I use Battery and Master of Puppets by Metallica, Hells Bells by AC/DC, and I have no clue what else right now. I'll get back to you.
