This came from VanSmack over @ the PD.
    Great Job Van Smack

    Quote: VanSmack
Hey everyone this is my first post to this board, as a fellow die hard VH fan I'm as interested as everyone in what is going to happen as I too hope Roth is back for good.
Well today I got some real positive news from a unlikely source, Vince Neil of Motley Crue. I ran into Vince this morning in the clubhouse of the Desert Inn Golf Course here in Las Vegas, I got his autograph asked a couple of motley related questions then asked him what is going on with VH, He said that as of last week Roth was IN the band even though things got off to a real rocky start, he said things have settled down and that they are making progress and plans and Vince says if they can keep it together it's going to be the hottest ticket in 2001!! Vince even joked sayin the Crue would be willing to be the support act for that tour. So even though no word from the VH Camp, here we have a inside music source who is close friends with the VH Crew saying that Roth is back and working out. I guess time will tell if everything will work out. Peace

This is cool news, but I'm wondering how long before someone starts bashing Vince and Motley in this thread.

I will start the bashing. I saw Crue at Alpine Valley with about 50,000 people then four years later at a friggn race track in Quincy,IL in front of 500 people. Although I got to meet the band minus Vince these guys should write a book called "How To Fuck Up A Career"

I know this sounds fucking odd, but the Crue just isn't the crew without Tommy behind the set. Randy is a killer drummer, but Tommy is a hell of alot better. As for the Crue opening up for the real deal known as Van Halen, sure why not. Hell we all know all their tunes, so it wouldn't be like some knucklehead no name band up there wasting our time. LOL. I could live with the Crue pulling an opening gig. Beat's the hell out of the Baby Animals. LOL. Out

Sorry about the edit thing, I fucked up on my spelling. Out

I don't take any band seriously. That's why they call it Rock & Roll. Just take it for what it's worth.

Motley a VH wanna be? I don't hear it.

I already saw the post of VanSmak on Pleasure Dome !
I think that the guy is reliable , we may give some credit to him !
Btw ... Vince Neil , being a big fan of Lee Roth , he may know many things concern VH camp !

I do know that this could possibly be a legit source since Vince, Alice (cooper), and Ed are all good golfing buddies. Buy then again, ya never know. Thats why they call it rock n roll.

I hear you there Bru87tr. Everyone is just frustrated now due to the lack of news, but any other artists brought up around here usually get sh*t on.

Track 5 - "The crew just isn't the crew without Lee". Dude - that don't sound strange at all....

For the last 16 years people have been saying Van Halen just aint Van Halen without DLR.

As for writing a book on how to fuck up a career.....The first time I saw DLR solo was in front of 30,000 rabid fans (EAS tour) - the last time was in front of 300 fans (YFLM tour). I wouldn't say that DLR fucked up his career - he just held true to who he is - and didn't pander to todays musical tastes (Britney, N'sync etc. etc.). Just the same way MC is holding true to what they are about.

    Just a thought.
