One final note on all this controversy about you and Van Halen. (I know this has been talked about a LOT, so I'll be brief.)

In his book "Crazy From the Heat", David Lee Roth claimed that your real interest was not in Van Halen as a group, but Eddie Van Halen himself. He seems to think that you were trying to woo the talented (and unknown at that point) Eddie from the band as a possible replacement for Ace. (!)

Granted, not many people regard Roth as an always credible source. But is there even the slightest bit of truth to any of this?
