TEXAS LINKERS weekend
Texas Poundcake and I have been talking lately about the possibility of organizing a Texas VH Linkers weekend getaway. What I'd like feedback on is:
1. How many might be interested (and of COURSE you don't have to be from Texas ) ?
2. What city would be the best place to get together?
3. What time of year would be best for everyone?
So...if you're interested, let us know either in this thread or by PM. I'm just wanting to get a feel for whether or not there is an interest in something like this. Would San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, Houston (or somewhere else) be a good location based on where the majority of people live or what there is to do in each city? Would a weekend this spring work well or would during the summer be even better? What would we want to do (besides talk VH, listen to VH, and drink Cabo Wabo )?
Let us know your thoughts!

I'd go for something in the DFW area, close to home. Maybe find out where most of the Tex people live and then pick a city!
Would be really cool to organize a trip to Tahoe as well.

How about New Braunfels? Somewhat centrally located. Cool water. Colder beer. If soaking up the sun while floating the river doesn't put you in a Cabo state of mind, I don't know what else could.

Hey Mike! Weren't you at the Hard Rock with Sixstring and Sisca for the Dallas show? TP and I thought that since there were so many Dallas area Linkers, that might be a popular vote. We're 4 hrs. away but only an hour flight away from Dallas (plus our best friends live there). Thanks for your input.

Well, that would DEFINITELY be my vote seeing as I'm from the TX. hill country originally (Kerrville) and my dad lives on Canyon Lake. There's a ton of stuff to do water-wise. TP and SNIC definitely have to try and make it, though, and Wichita Falls is a long ass-way to the beautiful hill country. But...YES...there's nothing better than floating down the Comal or Guadalupe with ice-cold beer!

You can count on SNIC and I being there where ever it may be. Although my personal choice would be Dallas! There is a pretty fun strip club in Arlington called the Fantasy Ranch, that we could have tons of fun in. They have a dungeon room!

I love the Ranch, I first went there when I was 19 years old. Almost got kicked out that night too!
