Did you all know that Van Halen was first asked to headline Woodstock II? They turned it down. Found this out from sources at MTV. I thought this was interesting to post for all those who did not know.

Really ! I didn't know ! What a mistake ... WoodstockII was quite good ! Bands like : Rollins Band , Primus , red hot chili peppers and Metallica did a great show there back in 1994 ... and in front a tones of people ! http://www.vhlinks.com/vhlforum/smilies/eek.gif

Woodstock 2 had a really bad reputation or so I thought, but reading your posts maybe I am wrong.

Woodstock 2 can't reply the history of the success of the first one ! This is why it got a bad reputation ! ... BTW , it was a good concert ! ... http://www.vhlinks.com/vhlforum/smilies/biggrin.gif

I think you mean Woodstock 3 had the bad reputation. You know the one where a bunch of girls got raped (what do they expect when they're take your shirt off in front of a bunch of drunk a$$holes), looting, and rioting went on like crazy during Limp Bizkit and Red Hot Chili Peppers' performances. Also no Woodstock can beat the first one since it was something new and less organized.

Seems like Woodstock and VH haven't done as well with 3's. HEHEhttp://www.vhlinks.com/vhlforum/smilies/biggrin.gif
