I see that he's stated that none of the post 1984 albums will be remastered. Had anyone else heard this? That's news to me.

That might be true, actually. None of the Roth-era albums were released on CD and when CD became the big format, a lot of those albums got rushed to CD, they were mixed poorly and some of the artwork was omitted. That didn't happen with the Hagar albums, those were released on CD, so he's probably right but not for the logical reason I just named, he probably thinks it's another move in the "Dave-era Van Halen is superior over all" thing. That's funny because he also thinks there is a conspiracy by WB not to re-release Dave's later solo albums, because they don't like him or some shit. That's stupid because why should personal reasons get in the way of WB putting money in their pockets? There's almost no demand for ALAE or YFLM. They barely sold the few copies they shipped in the first place!!! That's why they haven't been re-released.

I certainly don't want to defend Blair but there is more to this story than poor sales. ALAE went gold and was reputedly near platinum when it got deleted. It outsold VH3 as far as I know. YFLM supposedly has sold 500,000 also according to drlarmy.com

Were they deleted around the time DLR wouldn't get involved with the BOV videos? It doesn't make sense that WB would delete them out of spite but I'd be curious to know the real story.

Yeh, ALAE sold ok-ish really, it did pretty well in europe in particular if I remember correctly (and was a pretty damn good album too!)

Now, I see nothing wrong with posting your opinion on a website (I'm doing it right now.) But to post your own opinion on a website and call it a fucking NEWS DESK? That's sick and wrong.
