I'm ok. Anyone know where those guys work - I know Georgie works for MTV, Their main building is Times Square which is far enough away from WTC to be ok.

Yeah, we need to hear from Georgie, Down In Flames, VanEdge, I think AxeSlinger84 also is from New York City - who else? Unfortunately, because of the disruptions there, it might be awhile before we hear they're okay. But as long as we hear from them...

It's good to know that you guys are concerned and have the amazing ability to show empathy at a devastating time like this. It's been a horrible day all away around and after 14 hours or so of this I still have really no words to describe what has happened. It's absolutely unbelievable and still scary at this point and time and I hope the rest of the NYC posters are alright. My heart goes out to all of the victims and their families. Hopefully the madness will end eventually..

I don't work in the city but I know a relative that works like 10 blocks from the World Trade Center. He said he heard about the first plane that hit the North Tower and then went into his office and at about 9:04 AM EST he was looking out his window and saw the second 767 hit the South Tower. He couldn't beleive his eyes. He immediately left his office and luckily got home to Jersey by 11:30 AM. I have no words to describe what happend yesterday. I just feel really numb at this point and I am still in shock. My heart and prayers go out to all the people that were involved in this tragedy. VanEdge and Georgey please check in to let us know that you guys are alright.

hey everybody.
i'm alive and well, thank God.
i unfortunately witnessed the second plane crash while stuck midspan on the Manhattan Bridge in a train. The first plane had already started the terror by the time my train arrived on the bridge. We became stuck and were basically frightened out of our minds when we saw the other plane come in and crash into Tower 2.

by the time i got to work, my company had dismissed everyone. i was able to find my dad and brother, and we took cover in midtown and walked over the 59th street bridge into queens.

thanks for your concern. i hope and pray that we all have enough strength to get through this. the worst is yet to come.

Hey guys! I am sorry for the delay. I am alive and well. I saw the whole thing with my own eyes . . .from the second hit to the collapse. I have never experienced anything quite like this or ever seen the city in such a scene. People in New York have been AMAZING! Volunteering, helping, mourning, and very civil. It is quite amazing!

Unfortunately, I am sorry to report that my
cousin Mike, 26, has been one of the 200+ fire fighters missing the last two days. We are optimistic but also realistic. So far, I know four people personally that are missing and that will be the tip of the iceberg for probably all of us.

All I have to say is that anything short of an annihilation of involved countries would be terribly disappointing and an unjust revenge. I'll leave it at that !

Glad to see you're OK Georgie! Deepest sympathies about your cousin, but he'll always be considered a hero.

You should take at least a little comfort in knowing your cousin departed this world in a very honorable fashion; trying to save others. He is a true hero, one of the many who surfaced on that fateful morning.
