I don't think I have seen this mentioned recently. If this tour is a success, do you think it will lead to a potential VH tour with both Sam and Dave? Maybe even an album with both singers?

There's a major difference between two seperate artists touring together and a band with 2 frontmen. As I said in another thread, most bands with 2 singers are able to exist because they are both musicians as well i.e Lennon & McCartney, Terry Kath & Peter Cetera in Chicago, Or Jerry, Bob, and Pigpen/Brent in the Grateful Dead. None was the actual frontman of the band, they just switched lead vocals depending on who wrote the songs.

Dave's role as frontman and main visual focus of the Van HALEN stage show does not allow for another frontman. Sammy also was primarily the frontman of Van Hagar, with his guitar playing kept to a minimum at Eddie's request. I don't think either one would want to stand around on stage with their thumb up their ass while the other guy sings.... Just don't see it logisitically happening. And I would say the same thing if Tony Iommi ever tried to get Ozzy and Dio on the same stage.

Sammy has, in the last few years, advocated a twin bill much like what they are doing, but with Van Halen. Sammy and Dave do separate sets, with a one or two song "duet" to close. I think it could work if the brothers would go for it. Have Sam and Dave alternate two 5 song sets each, then close by doing 2 or 3 together (1 from each era plus a cover?)

Will never happen.

Please, please, make me eat my words, guys.

nope not gonna happen. I "was" optimistic but I think the previous versions of the Mighty Van Halen are a thing of the past. Makes sense why the dome was closed. No point in rehashing the same old thing.... Not that I'm happy about that but I'm closin the door on the past :(

I believe the only time that we'll see Dave, Sammy, Mike, Eddie, And Al perform together is at their induction ceremony at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And that will mark the last time they perform together, unfortunately for us the fans.

what's Dave gonna do, stand on stage and play friggin' tambourine while Sammy sings? :D you know better than that. i can't see it working, either. too much ego for one to even do backup vox for the other guy...
