Cool news...

Just heard on Q107 radio in Toronto this morning that ticket prices have been lowered.

The top ticket was $199 ... now it is $159 (Canadian $ that is!)

I'm not sure if the cheaper tickets have also been lowered as well... they didn't say. Also not sure if this ONLY applies in Toronto, or in other markets as well.

I was just on the ILoveAllAccess site and several dates are sold out of VIP tickets, including Toronto. People have an awful lot of disposal income. I can't even afford the tickets at $159.00 plus getting to Toronto... Oh well. Maybe the 2nd leg of the 'New Van Halen'.

well the tickets for the 2004 tour were $15 more for the same seats i have for the United Center this year.

The VIP sold out because brokers and scalpers have bought most of them. The Police did something similar through best buy. Scalpers bough up most of them at higher prices. Now the good news for fans, the scalpers will have a hard time reselling them for more. I was able to get Police tickets for $20 at Dodgers Stadium and $50 at Fenway park. I will wait until the week of the show for VH and do the same. Don't believe the pre-sale and day of sale hype. Under face can be had for ANYONE! I don't think VH is going to do more than 15K-20K per market, anyways.

Not sure for Philly, but Detroit/Auburn hills shows are 59.90 to 149.50, so about what I figured...I assume NJ/NYC shows will be similarly priced....

Dodgers Stad & Fenway were bigger venues... I think VH could possibly sell-out in many major markets... it's possible..

Hey Ghost, can you get any info on the Vegas Pearl Dates?
Thanks in advance!

I could be wrong but I'm guessing the radio station gave out the wrong information in the first place then covered their butt by saying the prices were dropped when they saw the actual prices on ticketmaster yesterday. I don't see this being a "the tour is selling poorly," type situation where prices are being slashed.

That being said I wish Chicago would drop $75 bucks off the $149 tickets.

15-20k is enough to sell out just about every venue they'll be playing.

scalpers don't buy tickets to lose money - they know what they're doing.

I do agree though that there will be tickets to be had the week of the show -happens at every single concert.

Depends on how many MSG shows and LA shows are added. Look for Vegas smack dab inbetween those two shows, second week in November. Probably last shows to be announced as they will be instant sellouts. Please don't change plans to wait on these shows. I don't want to piss anyone off if shit falls through.

I think they a still too high based on this being a "new" VH band. A reunion could proably get higher prices. Maybe not Police prices, since VH has not sold/PR a real tour properly since 1996, but another 25% at least.
VH brothers will still make the same money as they don't have to pay Wolfie the kind of money that Michael Anthony would have been paid.

Will be fun to watch how it all turns out.

It looks like tickets are still the same price for the first two shows. ($55.00, $75.00 & $125.00) Also if you go here there is a layout of the stage and seats locations by price.

no it wasn't. it was mentioned in the thread below yesterday with the price quoted from the radio announced price as fact. Not from ticketmaster.
http://www.vhlinks.com/vbforums/toronto-top-ticket-pricing-t39377.html

If you look in that thread I was checking ticketmaster as they uploaded the first two shows then the Toronto show cause I was waiting for them to upload Chicago's as I kept hitting refresh. I broke the good news about the Toronto show the first time Toronto came up on Ticketmaster as it said $159.50 and the thread about why it was so high had the wrong info.

Just making a point that ticket prices were not cut someone posted information that turned out to be wrong about the Toronto ticket price. No big deal just trying to avoid haters talking about how they had to drop prices when that wasn't really the case.

The price was wrong in the Toronto Sun the day before it was put on ticketmaster.
Those fuck tards screwed it all up. ;)

I imagine Wolfie will get much more on this tour then Michael got for 2004
