I finally got the pre-chorus part down by listening to the bass line under the solo - the rythym is the same for the guitar part - it's kind of syncopated. For that matter listed to the entire rythym section together and just block out Ed's solo in your head. The great thing is once you get it the first time, it seems so damn simple. Took me forever to get it until I tried that. Don't forget to tune your low E down to D.
