I just made a demo of my new song, "Show Me Why." It's not really VH-inspired, but it's definitely influenced by Rich Wyman (that keyboardist who had Eddie play on tracks and lay down some solos for his '96 album.)

Hmm...not sure I understand the question. I do agree that all the world's a stage. However, I really value when people can have a consistent sense of self, and not put on new faces all the time.

So, this song is about being yourself...or more specifically, about someone who is always trying to be someone other than himself. So in the line you quoted, I'm telling him that I like him better for himself than for any other person he tries to be. "It's the side that you never show, not the fool you're trying to be, that fascinates me the most."

Now I'll stop with the deep mental stuff. Being intense usually doesn't work for me! :D
