Anyone know the origination of this track? I recall hearing it on a CD but unfortunately can NOT recall what CD it was. I actually liked the original better.

If I recall the origination song was actually called THE WISH but cannot recall who sang it what CD etc. Although I do believe the source was VH related.

According to Sam, this song is what was originally "Between Us Two", which he had referred to as their "Stairway To Heaven". But, when everything went down in '96, he took the song with him and restructured it into "Returning of The Wish", while some of it also ended up as "Once" from "III".

Not to split hairs, and everyone could be partially correct, but I heard Between Us Two became The Wish and A Year to The Day...

Can we please have some releases from the vault. Damn it.

sammy said in an interview about the time red voodoo came out that Return of the wish was actually the lyrics he had written for "the wish" which was to appear on FUCK. Sam also said that the music showed up on VH 3 in the form of Once. Sam said that he and Jesse Harms re-worked the music and decided to release it on Voodoo. I don't think YTTD is Between us two, I think Sam would have said something about that.
