I occasionally watch a cooking show on the American Life (formerly called the Good Life) channel called Monterey Cookin' Pisto Style. Yesterday for the second time Sammy was on and they were at the Cabo Wabo. It was an older episode from 1999 after he left VH. I had previously seen him on one from 2003. Anybody else seen this show?

Are you sure that it's not "pesto" rather than "pisto"?

I know the guy shows up on Emeril (Food Network) sometimes, yet we do not recieve the "ALC".

"Would you like some more, eh...pist, on your nachos, senior?"

John Pisto is the name of the chef who hosts the show.

Cool bro, I honestly didn't know, having not seen the show.

Still sounds unfortunate. :D

That's what kills me about Emeril...he'll get this beautiful, large lobster...and make a fucking sandwich out of it.

Man, If I had that budget...seriously, doesn't it ever bother you folk, what with the quality of food that these guys just seem to "throw about", that they come up with "lobster tacos"?

On my budget, I can simply never get "bored" with eating lobster with drawn butter, as it is afforded so rarely.

And the lobster is going to be small, at that.

I don't know....I was in Maine two weekends ago and had a couple of lobsters and a couple of lobster rolls. I have to say, lobster rolls have nearly as much meat with less work. Although, they're both scrumptious! I'm sure the tacos are pretty good, too.

That's funny, not too long ago I was just talking to some friends of mine about banging Raechael Ray.

Eww, that made me gag just reading that!

A few nights ago, I was flippin through the channels and saw Sam on Emeril and they made ribs covered in Cabo Wabo. Damn, I'm hungry now!

It's John Pisto. He owns half of Fisherman's Warf in Monterey, CA. "Albolenetti"s" is a kick-ass place for Lobster too.

He did a segment last year with Sammy that started out at Laguna Seca in Ferraris and ended up on the Warf.

Yep!
Got all those on tape!
Had dinner at one of Pisto's places, his original bread and butter, "The Whaling Station" a few weeks ago. Filet and lobster...yessiree!!!!! It was A#1 - top notch food as well as service...and yes, they DO have Cabo Wabo tequila in stock there. Although I DID have to teach the bartender how to make my Waborita! LOL! :D

Looks that way huh?
Hey, I'll hang here as long as there are interesting topics to read and comment on! LOL! At least it's still a very active board, even without any new VH topics.
