I've seen various sources in the web intimate that Roth might do some Sammy-era songs or Sammy might do some Roth-era songs on this tour. My question: Why the hell would either do this?!?!?!?! Each one has more than enough material (too much, really) for a 90 minute show! Personally, I don't see this EVER happening! :eek:

I do NOT see this tour taking the route of the Elton John /Billy Joel tours of recent years, where the 2 piano players would do each others songs.

Maybe if the jam/duet thing transpired at the end of the show. Without Eddie playing behind him, Sammy has no need to sing Van HALEN songs (which he never wanted to do anyway) and Dave has always maintained that he would not, under any circumstances, sing a Van Hagar song.

However, Dave's proclamation that he has never sung a Sammy Hagar song is not entirely true. I happen to have a boot of Van HALEN performing the Montrose song "Make It Last" back in their club days

dlr can't even remember the lyrics of his own songs, so how should this work with sh songs?

but then again ... may be they wrote all their songs together, or whatever

Please...Sam has been singing Dave tunes and Dave has sung some Hagar tunes for years.....Dave actually recorded half of 5150 before they brough Hagar in so there are tapes out there somewhere of Dave singing "Why cant this be love"..I mean where else would Sammy sing "Badoop Badopp Baddaow..OH"..Yeah..thought so
