I've always thought of it as a "double" R as in Red Rocker kinda superimposed on each other...am I just seeing things?

I agree... I think it stands for Red Rocker.

It's actually just ONE 'R', made up of lots of scratched out lines, like somebody did it in a real hurry. Most of the pics you see don't do it justice. I'll try to find a good one.
In the mean-time...here's MY 'R'! :D

Here's a pic of one of the ORIGINAL Redrocker stickers.
It's like someone was doodeling and just scratching lines to make a crude 'R'.
It's more than doubled...in most places it looks like the artist made THREE passes to draw each line....except the middle line going through it, that one is doubled, the rest are triple or better.

Nice Tattoo! Pretty Cool! That's what I was getting at when I asked if anyone had any "Artistic" takes on it. I just couldn't find any picture of the "R" that did it justice. Thanks for the posts!
