View Full Version : Props to Dave Grohl
Just got home from a half day of school, and turned on VH1. Great stuff. There was an interview w. Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters, and he said a few things about the Backside Boys and their fellow boy bands. "If I was a 12 year old girl who loved ponies, wore all pink, and loved Barbie, hell, I'd love 98 Degrees too. If I were 7 years old and loved to sing Barney songs, sure, I'd hang Backstreet Boys posters all over my wall too." Amen to that Dave. By the way, I heard a quote from another celebrity. (I think it was Richard Belzer) He said someone asked him what he thought about the Backstreet Boys. He responded, "asked me in ten years when they're flipping my burger at Burger King." Just look at where the New Kids on the Block are.

You make a great point.
The industry is due to promote heavy guitar hooks and cool vocal melodies again.
It will happen no matter what, so it might as well be Van Halen!

Grohl is pretty damn talented, plus he is one hillarious son of a bitch.

I think that He is one of the most talented drummers in the past 30 years and he's a good song writer as well. IMO he is by far the best drummer to come out of the 90s-on

Anyone who hates that "cuntus maximus" Courtney Love, is A-OK in my book. http://208.50.7.95/vhlforum/smilies/wink.gif
(She murdered Kurt, by the way... http://208.50.7.95/vhlforum/smilies/tongue.gif LOL.)
Dave's a pretty talented songwriter, and a fan of "Classic VH." http://208.50.7.95/vhlforum/smilies/cool.gif
(And Alchemy, that line in your signature, about Space Ghost and the yard gnome is hysterical! http://208.50.7.95/vhlforum/smilies/biggrin.gif )
