Here goes one. During the 1986 MTV Music Awards, Van Halen performed live from New Haven with "Best of Both Worlds." Being that the Van Halen segment still remains the longest live segment during an MTV Awards in their history, clocking in at 19 minutes, what additional cover song did they perform duing this segment?

Georgie, the dates may be wrong, but the VH Encyclopedia shows the 1986 MTV awards as being on September 9, while VH played New Haven on August 26 and 27th, the latter of which was where LWAN was filmed.

I am sorry. The city location was wrong. I should have just focused on the awards itself. When MTV swung coverage to the live Van Halen show in 1986, courtesy of Marth Quinn, what cover song did they perform in conjunction with Best of Both Worlds during that record breaking 19 minute segment?

Wild Thing and Rock and Roll were not the songs during that segment. Other gueses?

That whole version is floating around on bootlegs for those of you that haven't seen it. Very cool to compare the actual "live" version of BOBW and the one on "Live without a Net." Out.
