Not sure if this is going to make sense, but I know for a fact this is happening. I'll explain as best I can.

You know how the name under "lastest reply by" is in red, and then when you've clicked on it it becomes darker in color from then on? Well, I've found today that once I've clicked on that in a thread, if I go back later and someone posted again, their name will automatically be in the darker color even though I've never clicked on it.

Example; I made a post in the "Cover Songs" thread, and when BWLoons made one later, when I went into the "Songs/Albums/Vids" Forum, BWLoons name was already darkened under the "Last reply by", as if I'd already been into the thread since his post, which I hadn't.

That's a bit different than it used to be I think. And I don't find it as user friendly, because the old way you could easily open up a specific forum and see exactly where you left off checking threads just by the color differentiation.

Hope that makes some sense. smile.gif

I followed you Glenn. ;) I think the browser is keep track of your history going to that specific thread. Once you visit that thread, the link color will always be that darker color until you clear your browsers history. If I'm wrong, somebody please correct me. :D

Thanks TT, at least I made some sense, that's a relief. smile.gif

But wasn't it different with the old version, where a new post in a thread would cause the "Last reply by" to be highlighted in the bright red color until you've clicked on it? I know I haven't changed any of my computer settings since yesterday.

The way the script is compilied now, it uses a cache system so that it can load things faster, hence link colors stay the same until after you logout or close your browser.
