hey Jeff - was gonna join ya but i think im doin the online thing...maybe its different now, but i used to remember that going in person was CASH only...has that changed do you know??? back in the day I could prolly ask all my buds for the money up front, roll down and wait for tickets and score some for less than 80 bucks..taxes included...

Well , you should be glad you didn't come down.
I did stay there all night and I waited for anybody to show up but no one did untill 9:50 when I was bein told by the old lady behind the counter that she could not connect to the server....I said did you call anybody she told me she call 4 other JACKMES and they all had the same issue ..I told her get on the phone with Comcast's It department and tell them they have a router, switch, or server down , and to get the fuck on it....the guy on the phone told her I will need to come to the store to see see what is going on ...., JACKASS......If you know 4 other stores are having issues, its not the store you need to get to , it's the server room .
Anyway somehow my wife got through on the phone twice .

Sec 215, row 1...and I am PISSED OFF about it!! I must just be getting cranky in my old age, because when I was 15, ANY VH ticket would have been good enough for me.
But now, with ticket brokers and Comcast's OWN scalping...er, I mean, TICKET AUCTION, you have basically NO shot at good seats anymore. Used to be, the guys who showed up at 9 PM the night before, were first in line, and got the primo 1st or 2nd row seats. And that was fair...they did the time, they get the best tix.
But now...forget it. And for once I was willing to spring for the best seats, was #32 in line at the Wachovia Center, and get stuck with seats where, due to the shit angle, I will most likely be staring at EVH's back all night. Not to mention the freakin slow-ass ticket agents at the box office...I stood there for 5 minutes waiting on the woman to figure out how to pull up seats...god only knows how many sold in that 5 mins.
But yeah, I'll still be there :D

I am looking to sell floor seats at face value + the shipping cost I paid, for the "cheaper" seats .
Basically I have floor seats to both Philly shows and I was going to bring my 10 year old son to one of the shows but now that I thought about it more there is now way he will be able to see anything , even if he did stand on the chair all night .......
The tickets are for the first show in Philly.

I would definitely be interested, but its gonna be 3 weeks or so before I have the cash to do it. But if you dont manage to off-load em, I would trade you my tix for yours and give you the difference.
I was thinking about bringing MY kid too, but had the same concerns...plus, if he starts the "I need to go to the bathroom..Im tired..etc", I would end up missing a lot...and this has taken too long to happen for me to miss anything! :D

Yep, row 1, on the railing (so be careful and dont let him slip between and fall onto the stage :D) Im in S Philly, near the stadium complex, so if it works out, we could just hook up right before the show (hopefully there will be a massive gathering of the mighty VHLinks Philly crowd in the parking lot!).
But please dont hold em just for me, if you have the chance to make another deal before then, since, like I said, it will be several weeks before I can say definitely yes. Dont wanna keep ANYONE (especially a "new generation" VH fan) from getting to the show!

Didn't want to post this before I had my stuff squared away but there are VIP packages that will be available for both shows. I got a block of 20 for the 10/1 show for me and a bunch of friends & family.

The VIP package is in Club Box 10, there's 3 hours of open bar (beer, wine & soda) and two hours of buffet food (cheesesteak, hoagie, pasta).

All for $250/ticket. If you think about it, that's not a bad deal and it allows a large group to mingle.

You can get info on the Premium Seating on the wachovia center website. The VH shows aren't posted yet but will be. Plus they should be available if you call directly - (215) 389-9500.

The guy I worked with said that the first night was a little limited since the promoter had a bunch of VIP packages reserved but that the 2nd night should have plenty available.

Thats cool, thats going to be a good time man! I had VIP seats like that there for ACDC, Slash's snake pit opened up and the access to the bars and all along with the cool seats made for a great experience. In our case you could hang in the bar but u could run out to your seats which u entered through the bar and it rocked. That was ACDC.....for DLR fronted VH wow! :headbang:

Got seats in Sec 209. Saw my first VH show at the Spectrum in 1980. We'll be rolling down the Pike from Northeast Pa. Hope to hook up for some pre show cocktails. :smokin:

I've got five tickets left in reserve in the VIP Box for 10/1 in Philly. Good until noon on Wednesday. We booked 20 but somebody bailed so it's just 15 of us.

Price is $250/ticket - Club Box 10. Includes 2 hours of buffet (decent food - hoagies, cheese steaks, pasta and a couple other things), 3 hours of open bar (beer, wine & soda) starting at 6:30.

The box is in the back corner of the arena but a great view (I saw Weezer/Foo Fighters in that box last year). Private bathrooms and private bar for drinks not included in the freebie list. Also, only 3 sections away from the smoking area in the Holt's Cigar Club for those who want to sneak out for a puff.

Again, may seem pricey but it's only $100 more than the top ticket and you get a cool hook-up.

I'll call to release the reservation on the five that are left Wednesday afternoon (8/29).

I wish there was a way of contacting the band or concert management in order to attend the pre-show or being authorized to use a camera for the whole show... I have my tickets and I'm travelling at my own expenses; I do think this is not asking much...

Yeah, the subway is almost at the Wach Ctr doorstep, so you can get almost anywhere in the city after the show (www.septa.org). But that hotel IS the closest.
Luckily, Im within walking distance, so I dont have to worry about it...just have to worry about dragging my hungover ass up the next morning to go to work :(

Yes but we love our Eagles and love to "hate" everyone else in the NFC east. Most fans are cool but you can find a few over passionate fans with a high blood alcohol level + a bad attitude and that jersey simply makes you a target. especially if you taunt the wrong dude. Tailgating at Eagles games I've seen things from fans being cool and drinking with Dallas fans to guys turning a porta potie over with a cocky Dallas fan in it! hehe Play at your own risk:)

Seats open up because after rehearsals they determine that they can add seats. More seats will open up day of, as each venue may configure slightly different.

The seat numbers for sec 3 start with 1 bordering sec 2. that is what the csr told me at least, which makes sense as the numbers begin in sequential order from the previous section.... i have 115 seat 1, which borders 114.

If there IS a Phillies playoff game Monday, I would advise ALL of you to park somewhere and take the subway. I live in that area and I can tell you from experience that ONE event is bad enough, but 2 is gonna be hell.

I could be wrong but if you are trying to unload tix at face or less, I don't know of anywhere that hassles people.

At this point you might consider selling them for under face - put them on craigslist philly at 2 for 1 or something (include your phone # so you can meet up with them at the show).

I know it sucks to lose some $ but do you really want to eat them? There are still great floor seats on TM for both shows right now, and your extra tix are pretty crappy, so you might want to consider that at this point.

Guys I am going to the second Philly show. Here is my question now that the Phillies won the NL East I see they are playing the same day as the second show. When is that game supposed to start? I have looked all over MLB.com and can't find anything concrete. Is the Phillies stadium right next to the Wachovia Center?

I think the Phillie game will be at 1:00 PM since the D'Backs are the second NLDS game of the day and they are on the West Coast. They should either be the 4:00 game or the 8:00 PM game. The other game that day is Angels @ Bosox.

41 years old and didn't see VH with Dave back when I should've. Few shows with Sammy but finally seeing the show I wanted to see 23 years later.

I am so pumped to the point where the anticipation is fun. Almost don't want the day after to happen because it'll be done (almost but I'm not nuts). Plus I'll be in NJ on 11/3 too.
