That would be great for them to add a DC show date. I could possibly get a free ticket through my brother who works for Clark who built the Verizon Center. That's how I went to the '04 tour. I probably won't go if I have to pay the outrageous ticket price... I know, I know - I'm a cheap bastard!!!

It's bullshit- I scrambled to get my tickets in Philly (2+ hr drive) because those fuckers were looking at the amount of interest in the tour. So when Philly sells out, they have DC ready to go in the wings.

Dude, I'm driving in from Columbus to go to the Philly show...skipping Cleveland and Indy, which are closer, just to have a memorable time with VH and my Philly Links buddies ! There's more to this than just a rock show, it's an event worth going above and beyond for!

I bought the el cheap tickets....400 level....dead center.....my friend scored tickets...not sure where exactly, but he said they were nosebleeds....we'll see.

I've gone from 3rd row pit seats in 1993, meet and greet in 1995......8th row in 2004.....to nosebleeds in 2007......but I'm cool with it.

I have such fond memories (actually blurs ... lol) of the CAP CENTRE and those insane VH concerts ... I know that the D.C./MD/Nrthrn VA crowd will blow the roof off of the Verizon Center for VH. 27 days until show time and I'm not sure what others are doing for the show ... pre-show socials ... I'll be meeting with a group of die-hard VH fans, but would love to meet with like-minded folks and just have the time of our lives ... nothing like invading the HardRock Cafe or some place closer to the Verizon Center ... it's going to be here before you know it ... There will be another drop for DC. Aftermarket on those tickets isn't hot, on ebay you can get back of the arena lowers or even back of floor seats for face or under. That's not good enough for me though I'm hoping I can get front floor or lowers on Ticketmaster sometime in the next couple weeks. That's been the pattern in Charlotte, Greensboro, and Philly so lets see what happens. I really can't go back to the shitty seats after two shows at the ramp!

What I remember was that irronically EXTREME opened for DLR ... I had pretty decent seats (clearing the cob webs off here) ... I think his band included the Skyscrapper line-up (Steve Via, Greg Bissonette) ... I not sure if he had any other ablums out between 1988 and 1990 ... I actually had to go look up ALAE ... lol ... but what sticks out that night was DLR looked / appeared drunk ... just sloppy and at one point he was off to the side, sort-of behind the curtains, sitting down ... and believe it or not, I left at about five songs in to the show ... I just didn't want to see that ... I knew what he was capable of and that show wasn't it ... I couldn't watch it ...

So, to have seen these guys two weeks ago, all together, were they belong, and sounding as good as they did, was just awesome ... it just seemed like everything was right again ...

16 Days to go ... I'm new to the site, and as I've seen in other treads, Linkers meeting up before the shows at local bars or where ever. My girlfriend and another couple are staying at the Red Roof Inn on H Street, just around the corner from the Verizon Center, not to mention a few other friends that are driving in or taking Metro, and I know that there are a few bars right in that area like Hooters, Coyote Ugly and the Irish Channel, not to forget about Hard Rock Cafe about three blocks away. I'd sure like to meet up with other Linkers and party before the show for a bit ... meet ... have some fun ... put some faces with names ... If you're interested, let me know ... I remember at Greensboro, staying at the Marriott and before leaving for the show, there were lots of VH fans hanging at the bar, just having a great time anticipating the show ... it was fun ...
