Yea...at least for round one. But you know Detroit is gonna get their show( maybe two in the state)

Looks like late summer/early fall for Dallas and St Louis too. I hope they show some love for some of the smaller markets. We have electricity too.

They are calling it a "road test" so I am sure this is just the warm-up round. After that they are off to Europe and then my guess is back to North America for a more robust tour schedule (with Toronto or somewhere close as a stop again I hope.) :D

It is truly a great thing to see the gradual return to vinyl occuring among many artists. Green Day's re-releasing their entire catalogue on vinyl throughout this year, many new projects are coming out in vinyl, VH 1 and The Police's Zenyatta Mondatta were just cut in 180gm new vinyl re-releases, Rush's last album SnA was offered in vinyl...the Foot in vinyl.

Warms this old weathered heart, it does.

So the point of this would be that pre-order folk would get it slightly before the masses could obtain it??

I don't think so. Estimated delivery is a day or two after. Still think the fastest way to get it is at midnight EST on June 7th via iTunes, and after that, going to your local Best Buy the next day.

It's just a pre-order option, much like Amazon offers. Didn't mean to get people's hopes up that it could be had sooner. Apologies.

VS, how do u plan to be able to get a ticket for the Roxy, that's a small club (even my band played there!)?? I would expect the tickets to be gone in a nano second.
Is it a fan club only deal? Even that will go fast, if u consider that probably half the venue will be filled by industry ppl, it being in LA.

No I wasn't picked for the Club 1013 pre-sale for Chicago on May 22nd. Now if I don't get the Chickenfoot presale I'm shut out of tix for the show cause there's no chance in hell in getting tix on Friday - it would be like winning the lottery.

OK. I am here to vent a little bit. I am really excited about these warm-up shows for the same reason most people here are. Watching rock stars of this caliber at a small venue is always a great experience.

Now, I'll be trying to get tickets for the El Corazon show in Seattle on Saturday morning (since I can't afford to shell out $40 for a fanclub membership for the privilege of the presale). What really has me pissed is the fact that I just took a look at this week's Seattle Weekly and there is a full page Chickenfoot ad announcing this show. Why???? Is this really necessary???? El Corazon's capacity is about 800.

I really didn't think this show would be advertised like this since all the members of this band have a pretty big fanbase to begin with who would already be aware of what's going on with Chickenfoot and not want to miss out on the opportunity to see them in such small venues. Are they really concerned that it is not going to sell out?? Once again, I think the true fans are getting screwed. It was already gonna be difficult to score a pair of tickets, but now with the general public aware of this it's going to be close to impossible.

Is anyone else finding this show advertised like this in your respective market?

That's the whole point. They are the warm-up shows and what a better way to see them than in a small club. When they do the full-blown tour in the fall I am sure they will be larger venues (and I will probably be complaining because I couldn't get a seat close enough to the stage :D )

Yeah, I ended up figuring that if the tickets were $60, I'd buy them, so what the hell. Got mine.

My code didn't work at first either - I ended up copying and pasting it into the box - I wonder if it was case sensitive.

Took me forever to find that damn code on the tour page too, LOL.

And then, after I hit submit on the purchase, I got an error. I refreshed and the transaction went through, thank God.

Looking forward to this show... Upstairs is very small, so it should be a real treat. Now what do you think the setlist will be?

Aarghh! I broke down and signed up for the fan-club and managed to snag a couple of tickets for Seattle. Yes!!

Just didn't think I would have had much of a chance had I tried during the general sale given the fact that the promoter put out a full page ad in the Seattle Weekly.

At least the fan club membership includes a t-shirt.

T-shirts are $30-$40 alone at any "large" gig...

Yeah, throwing the t-shirt in definitely makes me feel better about it. Cause it doesn't feel like the extra $40 was just for the privilege of participating in the presale. I just never buy into the whole fan club presale cause I usually score pretty good seats without having to pay the extra cash, but I think if I wanted in to this show it was kind of a necessity due to the size of the venue. And now I know what to wear.LOL.

I'm going to try and make up for it anyway by charging a little extra for an extra pair of U2 tickets that I have for the Vancouver show. I usually will sell extras at face value cause I don't like to feel like a scalper, but I'm going to make an exception this time only cause times are tough and the show is sold out. I don't think an extra $20 per ticket on top of face value is unreasonable.

I am sure most of you just got the email from Chickenfoot regarding the presales and the sell outs for the presale. Basically they are saying that because they are smaller venues there is a lot more demand than tickets so if you didn't get in for the tickets that were put aside for the presale then be sure to try for the public onsales.

Yea, I just got it.

You know looking at the cities on this 'road test', I believe these same towns/ markets will probably get hit again when the fall tour roll's around.

Absolutely. I think you are bang on. They would be crazy not to include them. When you test the waters and there is a feeding frenzy, you would be crazy not to come back to the same waters with a big ass fishin' pole!

Of course these markets will be hit again on the larger venue tour when they come back from Europe. This is just their club gig run - which I must admit, I'm pretty goddamned stoked about. I'll take a smaller club venue anyday over an arena, even with GA, which I generally can't stand, it's still a small club and everywhere in the house is a good POV.

I'd expect ChxFoot to hit ampitheaters and smaller indoor venues upon their return from across the pond, I think. 5,000 to 10,000 capacity venues. They're not big enough to sell out 20k arenas like Staples, unless they're co-billing with other acts, but they certainly will have the momentum to sell out smaller ampitheaters.

I caught two of Sam's shows on the 24/365 tour. One in Tulsa and one in KC. I would guess both venues hold between two and three grand. These venues for the Road Test are even smaller??? F@*K me...that is gonna be out o' sight!!!

Beyond our expectations, the public onsales for the 9 Road Test shows sold out all tickets in record time. The band was blown away by your response and can't wait to take the show on the road!

Please remember that all shows require photo ID to enter the venue, so we advise you to NOT buy tickets from online ticket brokers.

Chickenfoot will be back in August and September to play a major North American tour and there will be sufficient tickets to meet your demands. Due to the size of the venues for these shows, we do not forsee any issues with presale availability.

Fans who joined the fan club and were unable to get a Road Test presale ticket, we hope you keep your membership in expectation of the upcoming tour announcement.

if you have any questions or concerns about your membership, please contact ORDERHELP@FANFIRE.COM.

The boys are in rehearsal this week, and we'll see you on the road!

One thing....If the fall tour is indeed only two months long, that equals out to about thirty plus shows(minus travel days) I think they should skip the markets they hit in May. You guy's had your chance.

“Chickenfoot evolved from the four of us jamming together many times over the years for fun,” commented Hagar. “All of us live to play live music and we recognized that on stage we had the chemistry of a band. We are so glad that the fans apparently are just as stoked as we are.”

“We spent a lot of time together in the recording studio to make Chickenfoot live up to expectations,” said Satriani. “We really feel that we recorded a great album and now we are excited to take the show on the road and see how the fans react .”

Damn dude...you big city folk's sure are greedy. They're already playing those markets. :)

Sam's not gonna skip St. Louis and Dallas. They love him long time. While they're in the vicinity they might as well swing by Tulsa.

No, they're clubbing those markets. It's a limited engagement 'road test.' They use that term specifically so that folks in those markets know they're coming back around. They're not taking full advantage of population density and demand and playing larger venues for more money...yet. But they will. :)

Not greedy, just a matter of demographics and geography. You can't expect them to play Fargo over Vegas. Touring's a business. That's why some folk in the country have to travel to hit shows.

Instead of expecting them to play Tulsa, you could plan on taking a road trip to Texas. Maybe Kansas City.
