With the anticipation of a new VH record on the horizon with Dave, does anybody think a new EVH solo/instrumental should be included on the new disc? I would like to see someting along the lines of ERUPTION or SPANISH FLY myself!

Yeah, that'd be cool. I want to hear something new added to his general solo. I have never been to a concert and when I do go, I can't wait to hear the solo live!

I got to the end before I even realized it was so old because the first 4 posts seem appropriate for today (other than the Opinions/Speculation Forum). Surprisingly relevant thread again.


Was any Eddie instrumental met with less fan fare than "Primary"? Seriously, it's as if this tune doesn't even exist. Personally, it never did a thing for me and to this day I don't even have anywhere even if I wanted to listen to it. :sssh:

You see, there ya go........I liked that record, thought it was better than most give it credit for. But my opinion sure won't sway anyone, so there's no point in debating it once again....I know I'm in the minority, and I'm cool with it. I like alot of music that most people don't.:smokin: :D

Yeah, and I'm certainly not trying to get a VH3 discussion going and I don't hold it against Primary that it's on VH3. Had Primary been some smoking piece rivaling Eruption or Spanish Fly it would have stood on it's own merits and the fact that it was on VH3 wouldn't have mattered to anyone.

The VH3 haters (like me) would have still hated the album but loved the solo. But unfortunately that didn't happen. :brickwall

Exactly, just like 99% of his solo spots this tour.. I would have no interest, even being as big of an Ed-Head as anyone, in hearing him try to create something that could even be mentioned in the same breath as Eruption and or spanish fly...it would be a physical impossibility and a waste of time/tape
