light up the sky, hear bout it later, bottoms up,atomic punk,im the one were the highlights from the 2 shows in dallas. mike's bass and vocals were awesome!! vic johnson was great! the drummer was right on!

mike should drop the 2 covers and play 2 more deep cuts, vic sounded great singing on beer drinkers.

mike's set alone was worth the $68.

sammy highlights were "girl gets around" the 1st night and "fast times at ridgemont high" the second. sammy needs to bring out more deep cuts, (planets, baby's on fire) still hanging on to the s.o.s.

other half highlights from the 2 nights were bobw,poundcake,top of the world , good enough, other then that s.o.s.

mike stole the show! sammy could not get close to mike's set... two great nights in dallas! look out st. louis.

mike should really consider doing a club tour and jammin out old school vh.

i've seen 2 vh shows in 2007, w/wolfgang there great w/mike they would be perfect!

Sounds like a great show. I'd love to see it if they ever decide to return to the west coast.

I'd also love to hear Fast Times live since all I've ever heard from Sammy is the VH stuff or his newer stuff. That tune would be worth it for me.

I do think Mike should put the feelers out there by recording one or two original songs and releasing them on iTunes and/or through his website. He's said before he's not much of a writer, but he's got more than a few qualified friends who can co-write with him.

The MAE has had a set before with Sam's tour, yes?

Looking at the set, for me... MAE alone is worth seeing this show. Who play's guitar, is it Sam's wabos guy? Can he do the VH tunes justice? Very interesting. Bottoms Up! and Light Up the Sky are amazing tunes...the entire list is great tunes.

I think ma should enlist some buddies and cut an album of classic rockers. get sh, all the gang from the cabo hammett, ulrich, cantrell, satch, sorum, paul, glen hughes etc etc etc ,and all the guys who love him from the past 30 yrs in vh (lets face it,the guy must have some hell of a list of mates) and just go for it.

unfortunately, no ny dates. last time sammy was nearb y was in ct at foxwoods a few years back, though maybe they'll hit jones beach in the summer. and a quick note on the vh setlist--hasnt changed a bit in about 15 shows they've done so far-would it KILL them to add FYLT or ON FIRE,since they WERE in the rehearsal set. dont get me wrong, seen em twice so far and thye kicked ass, but i am going 3 more times and would love a lil shake up---ps 2 nj tix at cost-pm if interested

Vic plays guitar on all the songs. Vic isn't Edward, so he doesn't try to play like him.He brings his own style to the songs.He is a professional who respects the catalog.

On a side note: Vic has some sweet ass axe's. Especially a white Les Paul w/ black pickguard. Mikey made a reference about Ebony and Ivory. Just a beautiful,beautiful guitar.

MA has got to break out DOA, the groove is killer. fuck knows why VH hasnt played it. it would be an awesome opener to either mae or vh4.

I heard Mike sing Doctor on the VH3 tour and he did great. Mike can pull off crazy Zep tunes and stuff like Boston if he wanted to. His voice is so HIGH and strong. Sabbath would sound great too as someone suggested.lol It will be very interesting to hear Mike's Vallhalla wary cry at the beginning etc of the Immigrant song. lol I bet it will sound great.

Goddammit, when are they gonna hit the Twin Cities? Me and my bud just couldn't find the time or money to make traveling to a Sam show a reality.

Whoa, I just returned from the Sam/Mike show in Grand Rapids, MI and was totally impessed w/the Mad Anthony Express!! Man, Light up the Sky, Bottoms Up and Hear About it Later just kicked ass live!! Beer Drinker's & Hell Raisers as well, after hearing it so many times on Van Halen boots from their club days. Mike really does make IMO the whole concert experience with Sammy totally worth the price of admission. If he isn't there with the MAE or playing w/Sammy on the Van Hagar tracks, the show would still be fun, but more mediocre than great IMO. Thanks Mikey!!!
