Thank you. Wolfgang hasn't proven shit, maybe that he's a decent bass player. Mike's bass lines aren't exactly hard but Wolfgang can't sing that well and I really doubt he'll ever be able to (and that's no insult to Wolfgang). Must be nice to 16 and handed a multi-million dollar gig where everything is written for you, all you have to do is study.

Mikey showing up at a random VH show is too much to hope for. The timing is all off for adding a youngster to the mix. Edward really shoulda waited until after they got a tour behind them. But that's all over and done with now I reckon.

Actually, from what I've heard via the rehearsal vids, the boy CAN sing...AND play DECENT bass (but it's NO MIKEY)...that being said, I'm STILL not sold on the whole thing. I just get the creeps watching this whole thing unfold - but I SINCERELY hope I'm proven wrong...;)

I do have to agree with you. However, my biggest problem aside from Ed throwing Mike out is that Wolfgang is either too young to realize what he's done (most likely) or he's on the road to being as big a dickhead as his old man. If one us was a good bassist who Eddie liked and you knew Mike (as Wolf did) and were asked to replace him would you do it? Some of you may say "hell yeah!" but morally we all know it isn't right. I still think Wolfgang sounded weak in spots vocal wise (not as a comparative to Mike). I hope the kid does well too, but I'll always maintain that at his age he has no place in that band, he's been given a free ride. No club experience for him, right to the big stage. That isn't right to me. Anyways, be that as it may. If Wolfgang is half the musician his dad is he'll be fine. Plus, Eddie can avoid drinking by drinking juice with Wolfgang. Yeah I know that was lame and uncalled for, but c'mon, 16! Props on the playing though, and I won't pass judgement on his vocals until the tour is off and running.

The boy can play...there's no doubt, but I'm not sold on his vocals. To me Mike's vocals are a huge part of the CVH sound. And although WVH is trying, its sure as hell ain't as good as Mike's or even sound like Mike's. In fact as someone mentioned in another thread, there's a clip of "unchained" where, WVH vocals plus ED's I guess, sound "too perfect" as if they were piped in.
This was alluded to earlier by PH, and I think this will be the only way they will be able to duplicate Mike's signature background vocals.

talked about not talking to Eddie since the tour ended. talked about how the Van Hagar tour should still be going today. talked about playing that Guitar Hero game with his daughter. talked about his daughter and her friends tripping off the old videos. Talked how sammy flaked out on their Planet Us project.
The DJs weren't slammin' Eddie and Dave.. I guess they hope to have them on sometime down the road.

You know I was really didn't like the idea that Mike wasn't on this tour, but the fact Dave called this a "new band" and its not a reunion changed my opinion on the Mike situation. This is not a reunion and until all four original members are in the band and playing together this tour shouldn't be treated or called a reunion.

I hope Mike takes the high road and not the Sammy Road. I think he will as Mike has always been the nicest guy. Bashing Ed at this point would have absoloutley no advantage for him. I hope he knows the radio shows all want to suck him into saying shit he should not be saying.
