The registration took sooooo long..I couldn't wait to bring this over. At www.melodicrock.com, (http://www.melodicrock.com,) there is a VH message board, and this was posted:
Everyone, spread the word---the nearly famous source at the printing plant has 'appropriated' a copy of the new VH cd cover!!!!!! Here's the info:
1) Dave is back!!!!!1
2)it is a SINGLE cd, not double
3)it has 13 songs
4)the album title is "Van Halen 1" --NOT any of the rumored titles

Quite an exciting rumor. I'm going over to melodicrock to check it out now. Andy Johns and Donn Landee back is a good thing...too bad Templman isn't back but no huge deal. Van Halen I is a GREAT title, to me. Since the 1st album wasn't really Van Halen I but rather just Van Halen.
Bonn, check this out. This can still easily all be made up though.

Well some of those songs have appeared in other track list rumors.....the washing woman cover has as well.
Still just a rumor though.

I think this is bullshit, I just went over to MelodicRocks message board... This post was the first post for some dude named infoferret. I somehow don't trust these people who come in post for the first and only time and never come back. I wouldn't trust this dude as far as I could throw him. Just my opinion though.
Also how reliable is the dude that post the info from Melodic Rock here, this dudes name is AAAA, come on he went created a user profile, it was the quickest thing to type, and posted it here. Same thing here first post ever and probably never coming back...in my honest opinion AAA and infoferret are the same person... just trying to screw with our heads

Darth-your comments on the very suspicious AAAA-infoferret connection were just what I thought. The circumstances with each are too similar. However, we have a new Jedi in the mix: Timstar, another 1 trick pony?? Or does THIS guy have a clue? It's the first definition of "Saburossa" I've seen. I've tried every search engine I can think of, but I can't find this word anywhere?? Sounds like a voodoo word or something. Anyway, investigation is good, as is cynicism. Maybe this will develop into SOMETHING! Who knows?

Interesting rumour!
Before people start slamming this new rumour that the album title is 'Van Halen 1', here is an interesting fact:
1998, Van Halen held a radio braodcast of the premiere for Van Halen 3, hosted by Tommy Nast. While I listened that night as they played tracks from the album, Tommy interviewed the band. He asked about naming the new album 'Van Halen 3' and Eddie had THIS to say:
"Actually I wanted to call it 'Van Halen 1', 'cause we didn't have a 'Van Halen 1', the first album was just 'Van Halen'."
Now, Eddie may have been sarcastic here but I thought this was interesting in light of this recent rumour.

Bonn mentioned that there's a guy at his printing plant who always blows the whistle on stuff. He said that this loudmouth was bound to open his trap soon, so fought shy of giving us any info himself (job security, fair enough, if you know someone else is gonna do it, why risk it yourself). It ties in a little. But it is true that a first post on Melodicrock is a far from trustworthy source. AAAA, are you gonna come back at all? Your continued absence is making this look less and less genuine by the second...

the only thing I get out of Tabula Rassa is that Tabula means - It tabulates - in portuguese - I used bable on altavista to get that translation

Subarossa....close to Suba Rassa??? Is not the title either. Didnt VHND disclaim the Independents day title? VH1 just doesnt sound original enough to me.

After doing some more back-checking, I found 2 odd things about the melodicrock post: first, there have been NO replies over there, and second, how did someone post something at 11 something pm? Unless there was a technical problem, it seems to me only site administrators can alter things like that. Hmmm? Has melodiCROCK taken a liking to yanking our chains? Or does infoferret have a time machine?

Why would DLR Band be putting something out at the same time VH is? This rumor sounds good, and I have to admit....song titles sound like given names....as in to comparisons w/ other VH albums song tracks....looking at the big picture...It just makes sense for VH to reunite...just like KISS...it would give them a bigger payday! I'm new also...Looking at other peoples responses...is it true there people on this site that work for VH? or Warner Brothers Records? Brad? Sherman? and who is bono? Please educate me....I'm new.

I think the problem is you and others have forgotten What Sherman said. He is the one who stated that He was here to answer Questions and to squash rumors. I presented some questions and rumors and he did not respond. Oh sure he made a silly joke but that is clearly because he could not offer any answers to the questions I posted.
I don't get it. He claims he is an insider, Invites us all to ask questions and When I post a few specific questions, He does not answer them.

Since you're new here, it's understandable that you're curious about Sherman's connections to the band.
No one knows his connections, really. How he knows them and how strong his ties are to VH is unknown as well. He has said that he can't explain every last thing about VH because he doesn't KNOW every last thing about them. But when he sses something posted that is incorrect, he says so.
Sherman never said he was the be all and end all. He just wanted to help us out by squashing false rumors.

We're all excited at the prospects of hearing some new VH but I still think we have a little bit longer to wait. I hope we hear something before the end of the year but it might make sense to just wait till early next year before releasing the album. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
