OK Ladies.....I now Respect the Womans body and what she says and how she says it. Yesterday I had to take my wife into the ER because of Pain in her lower ab....to make a real long story short, it ended up being an ovarian cyst that ruptured. Now here is my point. I sat through 4 different procedures with the GYN. OMG!!!!!!!!! I honestly did not know they do things like that when you girls go see your GYN. I felt sorry for her and at one point I asked the Dr. if this was really needed. He looked at me like I was stoned. I felt so sorry for my wife, I just wanted him to stop. My point is......I am so glad Im a guy. You girls go through hell when your plumbing acts up. Im 34 and I never really knew. It was quite the Education. PS. She is fine and is at home resting with her Percecets.

eh...never a big fan of insecurity...besides leading to low self esteem and eating disorders, I get annoyed with women takin it out on men when they don't think they are good enough. If my girlfriend (not that I have one) were to constantly put herself down and complain because she thinks I think other girls are prettier that would upset me.

I've got three older brothers, and though they differ in many ways, they haven't got a clue as to what MOST women want in a relationship. I think Porsche944 is the only man that posted that is married, that's the big difference.

That was an opinion from a woman, and I do understand what you're saying about location/culture/class/education. Men and women both have feelings-
I just think that a lot of men have a problem with intimacy or they confuse intimacy with sex. That's why Porsche944's post was great!!! It wasn't about sex but how he felt about what the Dr. was doing to his wife, he had no control, he was uncomfortable and wanted the Dr. to stop.
IMO-that's the biggest part of a relationship, man or woman, to be able to be afraid (vulnerable) for others to see, but not be afraid that it will be used against you later. Men really don't want to show their fear, or they might mask it as something else, probably anger.

What's really wrong is the way Western culture teaches our girl children "Stay away from nasty boys. They only have one thing on their minds. They want to get in your pants. Say no."

So we light a fire under our sons and throw cold water on our daughters! Society's fault!

And another thing is, according to our society, sex is both a beautiful and sacred act, and a dirty deed, at the same time.

According to society, sex is okay if Mr. and Mrs. Suburban get together in their bedroom, even if he's fantasizing about his secretary and she's cheating on the side.

But sex is wrong and dirty if their kid and the girl next door go do it in the back of his car, even if they are madly in love with each other.

Our culture is kinda strange that way.
