Well, thanks for finding that . :p

I honestly had forgotten how excrutiating this song actually is. One should get a bonus of some sort for making it all the way through.

I gave up under less than a minute. To paraphrase the brilliant Lewis Black: "Fortunately, I had just jabbed a fork in my ass to take my mind off of the pain". :wtf:

I couldnt' make it through either, but I think too much has been made out of that song. It's really not that bad musically. The piano is actually very nice. It's an ....interesting piece. It's just a stretch for us as Van Halen fans to accept the same person grinding out I'm the one and Fools playing the piano and (attempting) singing.

That's the problem with it. Maybe if Gary did the vocals it would have been a good, or at least listenable song.

Gary has the voice to pull off a mellow piece like that, hell it's what put him and Extreme on the map with "More Than Words".

I made it to 2:56. Like Ted the Bud Light Daredevil, I will require beer to continue.

Something else that seemed odd: Could the piano track have been pre-recorded? There is this little trill at the beginning that playing-wise would have required Ed's right hand to be farther to the left on the keyboard (where the higher notes are), yet at the time of the trill, his hand is no-where near it, in fact it was off the piano and near his lap. Then again, it could have been the quality of the video tape itself.

I agree. I might be crazy but I actually don't think this song is that bad at all. My friends that know I like VH always joke around with me when I say I don't like this song that much they say, "Well it at least isn't How Many Say I". This song is musically sound and the lyrics mean something to me. As corny and cheezy that sounds.

How could a genious like Eddie Van Halen be responsible for a piece of hot turd like that?

I'm on my way over to ChefCraig's abode as we speak. Watch Out! I have tuba, kazzoo and my own lovely vocals ready to serenade. He's heard me do renditions of Stairway and Bohemian from the same instruments. Chef always has the vocals to fit. Another beer anyone?

The song would have been fine if Eddie didn't sing it.

Me too...

Good Lord... They must've been giving out free beer and other alcoholic beverages there because people were cheering like it was good or something...
