View Full Version : Looney Tunes
Is there any chance I would ever see this set in a boot store on CD? Was there a pretty limited run on it? I kinda seems like the holy grail of VH boots to me.

I think Looney Toons is almost the holy grail of Van Halen boots. Maybe for the Sammy Van Halen it is,but the Dave-era Halen:
includes 3 demos that aren't even Van Halen
has some of the Aero's Bogart gig but the songs are edited badly and I don't think the songs are at the right speed
could've done a better editing job all together(like in Bright Lights Big City the part when Dave mentions David Coverdale bowing out because of throat problems--why was that cut out?)
Maybe I'm just nitpicking but I wish there was more Dave material than Sam. How about some more rare shit from the club days?
Overrall,I am still glad I shelled out the 99.99 for this BAD MOFO boot. "Lucille" really floored me...and "Outside Woman Blues"--wow is that cool.

The "Looney Tunes" 4 CD set, aka "The UNCD's", was a pet project on the VHML about 4 years ago. The manufacturer was only supposed to make a certain amount of sets, i.e., only for the people that ordered them, and that was it. Well, he saw the potential he had in making more money off of them, and after everyone had their copy (or copies), he went ahead and made quite a few more sets and proceeded to sell them for a lot more than the original $35 price. I've seen them in Goldmine for as high as $150. They are becoming a rarity now, and if you look even harder, they are now available under a different title. Many underground/import CD stores are selling them as "Van Halen-The Unreleased Songs". I have personally seen and held them in my hands. They are a complete copy of "Looney Tunes", but with totally different artwork. They've become widely available in Japan.
I should mention that I paid $0.00 for my "Looney Tunes" set.
