I just watched Long Road to Cabo again (it's one of my fav dvds). I have to wonder after all Sammy said about Eddie in the first one what his comments on Eddie will be like in the 2nd long road when it comes out. After the 2004 tour things went so sour, I'm interested to see what Sammy thinks these days, because he was quoted recently again as saying "it's inevitable". Thoughts?

I really don't care what Sammy thinks about anything anymore !

He makes great tequila. For me, that's about the extent of it . :thumb:

Yep, Sammy's opinion about anything VH related doesn't mean diddly squat to me!

I think we already know what he will say. Something about he wishing they could be friends but it's up to Eddie to get himself better.

I don't think Sammy should say anything regards to the VH issue. If he does want to say something obviously for the continued interest, then he should just mention what he's said before - that the 2004 tour started fine to begin with but it was weird after so many years of not playing together. Also that despite having tried burying the hatchet together, he and Eddie aren't as close as he would've like to have been. If he starts to go into the dirt of it all and take a few shots at Eddie - then he's a dickhead.

I hate to think this because I have loved this band for over 20 years now but judging from all the BS in interviews and those latest pics of Ed I don't see any VH ever happening in my lifetime. Like I said I hate to say it but it's my gut feeling.

I'm absolutely certain that Sam will learn to shut the fuck up as soon as Dave learns to shut the fuck up.

I'm more interested in Eddie and Alex learning not to shut the fuck up. :)

I don't see anymore use in Sammy keeping a diplomatic face about anything. I remeber Zakk Wylde saying Eddie was a mess too. He can say what he wants, if Eddie has any chance of salvation he has to realize how much of a jackass he is and work towards bettering himself.

What point is it going accomplish if Sammy, again, publicly acknowledges that Eddie is messed up? It's already common knowledge now. Is it really necessary for it to be taken any further? Zakk probably commented on Ed's state only once and out of sheer shock. I'm sure Eddie wouldn't care anyway what Sam has to say about him, especially if there's still a hint of a rift between the two and besides it could make relations worse.

Good point, I think the real issue is how everyone harrasses Sammy about what's wrong with Ed cause nobody can get a statement out of Edward himself. I think it's just frustration egged on by the fact nobody is satisfied with how it ended.

I suppose it needs to be discussed if 20 million different interviewers keep asking.

If it was me, I'd have a serious case of sour grapes. It seems that Ed is the ONE thing stopping a reunion. And it's obvious that Sam wants it. So, let's see, Sam wants it, Ed is stopping it, Sam gets pissed and runs his mouth. Wow. What a dick.

I'm sure everybody here never runs their mouth when they get pissed. Then to have a bunch of different people continually ask about it? yeah, ok.

Sammy will always have the Van Halen issue dwindling on him. He can say whatever he wants on his DVD, what's to stop him? I just don't think he should since I believe his previous statements on Ed are one of hypocrisy in my view since I hold him partially responsible for the split of 1996, due to the way he abused his position in the band. Besides even he probably doesn't fully know the answer regards to Ed's state. Maybe Mike does?

The point I was trying to project across was that there are issues in play which should be left to privacy. Sure, we fans and the press get frustrated with no news or the likelihood that Van Halen will move forward. We should be used to this type of stuff which is ever so typical for us.

If Ed wants to lead a Howard Hughes lifestyle, then so be it. We can't tell the man what to do and he doesn't owe us anything. Of course, I'd love to see him get out and about making music once more. SERENITY NOW!!!
