All fire departments in our county participated too. People lined the streets and held candles, the departments pulled their ladder trucks out of the barn, and put their ladder trucks up, with flags hanging from the top of them, all lights flashing.

It was so touching to see all the little kids dressed in red white and blue, holding candles and waving flags.

nice gesture... unfortunately, when me and my wife went outside at 7:00 (central time), we were the only people on our block doing so. smilies/frown.gif
Even still we stood proud at the foot of our driveway and received thumbs up, smiles and waves from cars passing by. smilies/smile.gif

I've got a little courtyard thingy outback, but I saw a couple neibhors doing it. smilies/smile.gif
