Good to see Robin Zander gettin' some recognition on this thread! Some others:
David Lee Roth - I don't care if he doesn't have range or anything like that - he sings with a smile in his voice and can make even a heavy song not seem so bad.
John Lennon
Paul McCartney
Glenn Frey
Michael Hutchence
Peter Wolf - the original motor mouth - hate to see him and DLR get in one of those round-table discussions - no one else would get a word in edgewise!
Ronnie Van Zandt
Mick Jagger
Don Barnes
Bono - especially from Under a Blood Red Sky on.
Billy Gibbons
Dusty Hill
just about anybody else I have on record or CD!

True, but Nancy wasn't the primary lead singer. (minor technicality since it's the lead singer thread and all http://216.10.25.192/vhlforum/smilies/biggrin.gif )

Actually, now I think about it, Terence Trent D'Arby is great. Amazing voice and a great showman. Enormous ego too... Did some rockin' stuff on some of his albums, as well as the soul stuff.
