according to inside. on the VH3 tour eddie smoked camel ultra lights. i've never heard about him quitting smoking. his lungs must be black charcoal by now.

I read somewhere that it's mainly Marlboros & Winstons, but while trying to quit it's Camel Ultra Lights.

The reporter who wrote the end story to Guitar Plyers EVH special issue said that in there. Someone could check it out..

It was the story, where he had interviewed Eddie and Eddie drove him to the airport. On the way Eddie picked up two packs of cigarettes for both of them. The journalist said that he still has that pack.

Hard to see in this day and age how someone could still start smoking... BUT

I picked up a lot of VH stuff off a promoter in Pasadena that used to run the place they practiced in. (No it wasn't Dave's basement)
One of the things I got was a red baseball type hat that says Marlborough on the front, and I know it was Ed's, so I'm betting that's what he smokes.

yeah he USED to smoke red marboros. check the inside, on the vh3 tour he smokes camels.

Hell, Ed's 75% of the reason I started smoking! I went through two packs my first time trying do smoke rings!http://www.vhlinks.com/vhlforum/smilies/biggrin.gif 25% of the reason is because I quit doin'drugs, go figure.

I stopped smoking on 9-15-99 so its 8 months today. I messed up twice but havent had one since probably Nov. I think I have this thing beat. Hope so. Nothin messes with the voice like cigerettes so as a singer I had to quit
