My heart dropped when I read it, myself.

Well I remember how we all felt when June and July were TOO FAR off. Now we are past them.

Frankly, I could care less if it IS January, as long as we know we're getting it. January will get here a lot faster if we had a confirmed release to look forward to. It's the dead time with no confirmation that's killing us. To put it in perspective, the 5-15-00 thing doesn't seem that long ago to me, but it's been almost 3 full months.
