WEBN 102.7 is reporting that EVH, and WBR's are currently trying to hash out a new contract.They said WBR's are screaming over the blood bath they have taken
with VH the last 3 yrs.Evidently they recorded several songs with Gary Cherone, before he left, and now they have scrapped everything with Roth , and will try to
regroup after the first of the yr.The DJ said EVH stance is we will produce material to take us to the next level, or we will NOT produce anything until we DO.EVH and
DLR are on two different planet's.Dave is girls guitars, bikinis and fast cars.EDDY is a matured artist who shed the image of a "OVERLY TALENTED DRUNK
PUNK".The only official announcement we have is that DLR is releasing new music by the end of THIS month.He would not be doing this if a VH release was
happening anytime in the near future.The VAN HALEN's have went to great measures to derail DLR's current solo efforts, and that includes the activity of people in this
lounge.EVH is another bill clinton he is a politician.When have we ever gotten a straight answer from this guy?He has used DLR to promote VH ever since HAgar left in
1996 DLR has been the "MOUTHPIECE" of this band.Cherone was a face without a name.EVH once again has manged to dismantle everything DLR has built.Dave's
solo career was back on the right track UPWARD.Now how are people going to react him putting out his own music, when everyone has been waiting on VH to release
stuff with him?I doubt WBR's is supporting this SOLO effort in anyway, but why wouldn't they if indeed he was truely BACK IN?They would want to do anything
they could to inhance his image, and make people forget about his failres in the past.

Oh...that's a depressing read. Please don't be true. I gotta have VH fronted by DLR, or nothing. I understand EVH wanting absolutly unbelieveable material and maybe he doesn't think they're creating that. But this sounds like EVH is over analyzing the music now...cause I don't see how the 4 of them could make something not unbelievable...at least to me.

If the powers that be at Warner Brothers and the Van Halen camp don't fill the vhlinks in on the latest dirt, why would they choose a DJ?? This sounds like bad press, and record companies DON'T like bad press concerning themselves. Of course, it's ok if the ARTISTS get bad press--that's 'free publicity'. I don't think we need Sherman for this--if this WERE true, don't you think it would have already made it to Grant? And he would have found out one way or the other what's going on. So I think we can rest assured that this, too, is bunk. (or maybe I'm enjoying some wishful thinking)

WEBN hates Dave big time. Thats why it is funny that the only VH material they play on there is Dave era..(well I do hear a Sammy song once every few months). Anyway, a couple days after the original post in this thread was posted, DJ's on WEBN said they don't know what is going on...

I should also add that they had a WB rep in the studio one afternoon and they said he would say NOTHING about VH.
