OK...here's a very disturbing thought.

Let's say the Taliban gets smart and hands over bin Laden. The US comes over to get him and brings him back to the country to try him in a court of law, like they did the first bombers of the WTC back in 93.

Provided he survives the plane ride over, he goes on trial. Here is the kicker...

His case is thrown out on a technicality.

Can you imagine this??? We almost had this happen to McVeigh when it was discovered the FBI had withheld hundreds of files from the trial. What would happen if bin Laden got acquitted of this? Is this even possible, at least from a legal standpoint? I'm sure it wouldn't happen if he walked out of the courthouse a "free man"...he'd have his own "welcome to NY party" waiting on him there for sure.

I got sick thinking of this scenario. Could this even happen? I doubt it myself, but you never know...OJ is still out on the golf course "looking for the killer". smilies/mad.gif

the whole OJ thing made me lose a lot of faith in our judicial system, but i don't think we'll ever get a chance to put bin laden on trial, so let's just hope it never comes to this... i personally think he would be killed before he ever made it to trial...
just my opinion

Something tells me that would not be any technicality in that case even if there were ten.

It won't happen Cabo. Hopefully we will kill that sack of shit, along with anyone who has helped him, real real soon. Out.
