If anybody knows any Tuba players out there(not a joke) tell me. It would make me feel better instead of talking to a bunch of ego-maniac guitar players.

Not ALL of us guitar players are egomaniacs. In fact, of all the ones here, I haven't seen ANY that are. The guys here are all down to earth and try to be helpful and supportive of each other.

But, if you REALLY want a tuba player, polka on man!!!!! OOM PAH OOM PAH OOM PAH OOM PAH

New Orleans Jazz standards have commonly used the tuba in place of the bass guitar. It lends a unique sound to the already unique sound of an authentic New Orleans Jazz band.

And seeing how all music known to Americans (including, rock, metal, punk, funk, grunge, alternative, etc, etc, etc) was oringinated in New Orleans as the blues and eventually Jazz, the Tuba earns a mighty respect in my book.
