I wish MTV or SOMEBODY would show reruns of the great years of metal. God all I see are these kiddie bands and rap stuff. I used to love when metal dominated the airwaves. Remember the top 10 used to be peppered with the likes of Bon Jovi, Stryper, Tesla, White Lion.....My cable service provides a metal channel which I enjoy but it doesnt show videos, just the tunes. I even heard that old closet classic last night by Arthur Brown..." I am the God of hellfire and I bring youuuuuu, Fire ....." I want my MTV back. Even on radio, self proclaimed rock stations play the same 3 RUSH tunes, even though they have 20 albums out. Rolling Stones have a catalog of 35 years, I only ever hear the same 5 songs. PLAY SOME OBSCURE SHIT!!! WE'VE HEARD ALL THE OTHER STUFF TOO MANY TIMES!!!!!

I used to watch Headbangers too back in the day. I thought MTV2 was going to be more of that, but no such luck. They really do need to start a channel for us who remember the good ol days. MTV has alot of material they could be showing from years past. They're blowing it big time (and they suck now).

no shit, i read back in 1992 they were gonna have 4 mtv chanels to have a variety on seperate channels instead of stuffing rap shit down my throat and other types of so called muisc.
somebody needs to step up and put on a new music station dedicated to playing rock
i mean rock as in rock, no alternative shit. but put some mother fuckin rock n roll on
a station that plays old stuff new stuff. stuff you wouldnt exspect.
i dont mind a variety of music just in the same words as rock n roll
i dont mind hair bands i dont mind soft songs i like hard soft, but no rap no fag boy bands and no hoppy crap

I watched MTV when it first came on the air with JJ Jackson Mark Goodman Nina Blackwood etc through the headbangers ball era.It totally sucks now and vh1 tries to split the middle.I would pay for a extra channel that was totally dedicated to rock music-not alternative or rap-but I really miss thoes days of sitting up all night and watching thoes killer videos!!!

VH1 has a show on every sat at midnight i think it is called the rock show they play alot of the good old videos check it out.

Rockshow was a crock of shit too. When it first came out, they played a few old videos from back in the day butevery day for one entire week they threw a Buckcherry video into the mix for no fuckin reason. That band sucks. PERIOD. They need a total rock station. Look at all the years and years of old videos they must have in the archives. Remember the Saturday Night Concert? Play those too. I WANT MY MTV BACK
