I was in Lake Tahoe the other day and ate at the Cabo Wabo, little did I know that Sammy Hagar's son worked there. Our waiter said that he started as a bus boy and worked his way up to a manager. He was working that night so he came over and we talked for a bit, I asked how Sammy was doing and he said great, touring with the Waboritas, he also said that there was a Sammy impersonator walking around Tahoe pretending to be Sammy, that was funny.

I was at the Tahoe show in Late April and did spend time in the Tahoe Cabo Cantina and his son was there working his butt off. Very nice and I could only imagine all the tug and pulls he gets when people ask about DAD.

Yep, Aaron has children of his own so Sammy is also a grandfather. His youngest son, Andrew, just turned 21 I believe.

It's kinda weird that Kari's about in her 30s (not so sure) and she's both a mother of a 3 year old and the step-grandma of a kid around her daughters' ages!

Nothing was 'given' to Aaron. At least not YET. He had to APPLY for the position there cause he works for HARRAH'S, NOT for Pop. Even had to take the drug test. (Which he doesn't do...he's squeaky clean...doesn't even cuss. Quite the opposite of Sam! LOL!)
He started from the ground up, so he could learn the whole nine yards of the biz. Someday, because it's a FAMILY business and will stay in the family, no doubt he's gonna own a piece of it. But before that happens, someone's gotta know how to RUN it.
He and his bro Andrew are learning how to do JUST that. Aaron's getting the 'on the job' training of how to run a bar/restaurant and Andrew is in college majoring in business. Sammy's not gonna have any worries whenever he retires. His boys are doing the right thing and Pops will be well taken care of! ;)

I talked a lot to Aaron this time in Tahoe. Such a cool dude! And he really doesn't have any problem whatsoever talking about his Dad. He knows where to go with it and where to steer onto other roads when the topic starts to get too personal. Quite the pro on dealing with the fans, but then you gotta admit, with a Dad like Sammy, he's got a GREAT teacher! LOL!

Anyone know which of Sammy's lads played in the band a few years back which included Barry Oakley Jr. ( his dad, Barry Oakley, was the original Bassist in the Allman Brothers Band and was killed almost a year to the day after the great Duane Allman)? I also think there was one other celebrity musicians kid in the band as well....maybe Robbie Kraeger from the Doors. Anyone know what the hell I'm talking about?

That's exactly what Sam is doing with Aaron. From what I was told, he's doing the "tough love" thing with him. That's pretty cool, seeing as how most celebrity kids are spoiled beyond belief.

This dude stood three feet from me at the Tahoe gig...Same Sammy 1013 hair...same shades...same soul patch...this dude was hellaciously sad and LOVING the attention...Guy was in a yellow CW shirt. On the plus side, he had a MAYBE 10-year old girl on his shoulders for the gig...daughter, niece...who knows? the point is, this kid knew the words to EVERY Sammy tune AND Rock Candy...So, at least WannabeSammy is teaching the children well...

It was Aaron. I read about it somewhere on the internet. I think the band eventually broke up.

Whenever I see Aaron at the the restaurant he is working his butt off and interacts with the customer extremely well.......It was really cool and refreshing too see......Seems like a nice guy and you can tell he knows alot of people are watching his every move..........Learning it from the ground up is really smart.....Sam has someone in there he knows he can trust who will know the business inside and out......
