There's this particular kind of subset of Van Halen tunes that really evoke the feeling of one of those hot, steamy summer nights. Where you can hardly breathe 'cos it's so humid. You got the shutters down and there's heat haze risin' off the concrete. You know the feel? Real low key, chillin' out nothin' to do all night but erlax with a brew. That kinda feel. Well that's the vibe I get when I hear those first notes of girl gone bad shimmering out of the speakers. This is shared by the feel of "Ladies Nite In Buffalo" and "Big Trouble" from EEAS. Push Comes to Shove too. Anybody think of any others?
