Initially a stompin' rocker, with a unique vocal approach on the verses. At the 2 minute mark, the tune takes an interesting turn into Jimi Hendrix territory, featuring some fairly cool guitar work from Satriani.

No it won't. Even if they find something good about it, they'll always find a way to bash it.
It's a shame. People won't like it just because they don't want to, when they're really missing out on something excellent. Open-mindedness is a beautiful thing sometimes.
I heard a good excuse from a friend of mine (Chickenfoot is spreading through the high schools now!). He's a huge RHCP fan and said while he loves Satch's playing, he doesn't care much for Chad Smith's style on the album, plus he's still upset over the breakup of the band. But RHCP was always a functioning band. Van Halen has not been, so I don't understand how anyone can really say anything bad about this...

This song is clearly amazing. I don't see how could anyone not like it. Then they'd not like rock. If it was on a VH CD i'd say it's the best song since "Seventh Seal," i'd put it in the top 10 Van Hagar songs immediately.
These guys mean business. Damn!!!!!
Love it they might open with this one in concert

It's unlikely to appeal to anyone who didn't care for Hagar in Van Halen, to them it's just more of the same. They'll diss it as they always have.
For those who were fans of VH with Hagar, there's definately much to enjoy here...
Take away the instruments and replace it with synths... this is a straight up hypnotic dance track. And a good one at that.
I'm so glad that they seem to be going for the more esoteric things. My big fear was that this would be a straight up rock album with some power ballads thrown in. Cheesy. Thankfully I have been proved wrong.
I love this.

Hey, you can hear bass in this song AND the other Chickenfoot songs.
Note to Edward: If you couldn't hear Mike's bass before in the mix, it was probably because you had him potted down. The way to fix that........turn up the bass in the mix. That is all.

Listening to this song I can't believe how powerful a drummer Chad Smith is having never being a huge Chili Peppers fan, this will make me want to start listening to the CP's so I would have to think this benefits their catalog as well and bringing newer fans.
This song has to have people in the VH camp peeing in their pants just a little and what might have been. It still could be for them but unfortunatly for them they their guitarist is lazy (funny didn't he say that about Sammy in 96') and their bassist is just a little green don't you think.
Thank you Chickenfoot, this is what we've been waiting for since 1995!

Holy shit this song rocks!!! These 5 tracks are unbelievable. Even if the other 6 sucked I can already say this is a good album. If the others are even halfway decent I can already say it's a great album without it even being out yet!! And based on the clips I've heard this is a great, great album!
Good tune. The solo absolutely SMOKES imo!
I can't nail it, but the vocal part reminds me of an early 80's Hagar song. Not sure, maybe VOA?

:funny: - i liked some of the other stuff. The ballad is really cool, SOAR is really cool. This one I'm not at all fond of.
I do love it though that anytime someone says that they don't like a CF song that others (VHrocks for instance) think it's cause the person couldn't possibly be open minded. He's gonna have to explain to me how I'm open minded enough to like some of the CF stuff but not others. :D

Very cool...it has some definite meat to it. Anyone gets a handle on the lyrics, I'd love to read them. I can't really make too many of them out and since I'm at work, I can't really blare it and take the time to break them down.
Good track though...this song has me more interested in the album than soap on a rope and oh yeah. This is the kind of stuff I was hoping for!:thumb:

It's not a bad ballad, don't get me wrong...nice structure, Joe's good, Mike's harmonies of course are great...
I've just never been a fan of Sam's balladeering....except for Karma Wheel, which I'm not sure can be labeled a ballad proper. Karma Wheel is still, IMO, Sam's best solo song to date.
However....I dunno why, but I still think Down the Drain is the best track released by VH members since Humans Being. Something about its groove, I dunno. Especially the intro and first stanza. Powerful. Looking forward to hearing it live. Though this new Get it Up track sounds fucking great.

I really don't understand why any die hard Roth fans should be posting here to begin with. This is the Chickenfoot forum, for fans of the band, not for drive by detractors of the band. A threat? Well, by the time VH is supposedly is going to hit the studio us Chickenfoot fans will be listening to a new CD. If anything, this Chickenfoot album and the success it may get will play on the insecurities of the "Tards" because we can rest easier then they can. However, I do wish the best for VH and would like to hear new stuff from them, but I think in the interim the Foot is going to do quite well thank you. From what most of us have heard, we like what we are hearing a whole lot. Cest la vie!

It's always fun to see the majority of bad reviews coincidentally coming from staunch Eddie apologists or Davegravers.
That's called bias, ladies and germs. :)

Dudes & Dudettes. The song is just average. The lyrics are lame. The music is uninspired save the solo. I think our expectations are so low that we'll accept whatever they put out.
Sorry to be a downer. Just calling it like I hear it.
I sincerely hope the next release is better.

I do love it though that anytime someone says that they don't like a CF song that others (VHrocks for instance) think it's cause the person couldn't possibly be open minded.
Exactly, and yet he and his mates couldnt extend the same open mindedness when others were audacious enough to suggest that they liked VH4.

Was thinking that the other track (LoF) sounds like it was built for that disc. The similarities to "Feelin'" are uncanny.

Nicely stated LLFHS. !! What do you expect from a bunch of clowns on a Vh fan site. As an early fan of VH I learned through the years for every great fan VH ever had there is some circus pin head fan that was produced in the 80's that never left, Oh.....and that shame is now they have kids , and we will have more pin heads running around society in the future. I am just glad they are going to gravitate to the " new van halen band " . The " new " " dumb" crowd that will follow anything like sheep, wich is EXACTLY what eddie wants. That is te only way he will have any relavance. Ya know the real productive authoritarian version ! :D

My main question is...
Where the fuck is Michael Anthony on this album???
Yeah I heard the tracks... it's not awful....
But it's not good....
Eddie Van Halen is fucking GOD.... and fuck Sammy Hagar for saying SATCH is the greatest guitar player he worked with....
Oh yeah... and how can we forget....
Sammy also said this band could rival LED ZEP!!!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
And I thought Roth's career went "DOWN THE DRAIN"....
Sorry fellas... just average music here....
LONG LIVE VAN HALEN!!!
EDDIE, DAVE, ALEX AND WOLFGANG!!!!
The best band alive right now... not these generic wannabees...For starters this is a low quality version. This band is talented enough to rival a major band over time. They have just got started ! What I really like about the music is the creative direction and diversity ! The opposite of what van halen was , songs based around nothing but guitar and more guitar  As for rest of what you said.....Ughh... well go put on the new VH disc !!!! :D

I am NOT a fan of Sammy's lyrics or lately even his voice. When I saw the title I cringed and hesitant, expecting lyrics rivalling UFB or even "Get Up".
That said I really like this song. Great groove. I can't help wonder though whether the reason that I like it more than the others (only in my case) is because on this track Sammy's voice and lyrics are the least up front? I like this band but just for me Sammy is sometimes the thorn in my side that I just can't shake.
One thing that I disagree with many here about though is the assertion that this song will be great live. Its a great groove and the guitars would sound great live, however I doubt that the vocal delivery would come across well live.

At first I wasn't a huge fan of the song, but caught a quick snippet at chickenfoot.us. There is way more to the song then you can actually hear on the youtube version. Pretty Bad ASS. Check out the new widget :headbang:

How is that talking shit? chickenfoot could rival led zep. he already retracted that statement and blamed it on the tequila. even if he hadn't....it's not a negative statement in any way. If you read the context where Sammy made that statement about Satch (which included props to Eddie) AND if you had any objectively whatsoever you might be inclined to agree like a lot of people here did. Again it's not a knock on any one and he even gave props to Ed without one negative word said. He may think SH era has outsold Roth.....he'd be misinformed, but so what? Again...not talking shit. It's just that that's what you see in everything he says. But again that's your lack of objectivity.

i realize many of you WANT Chickenfoot to be a catalyst...but odds are, it's just not. You want new tunes? Pray that Edward has a Come to Jesus revelation and realizes his fans have made him what he is, and does something about it.

The whole thing was about him talking shit about Eddie. he was drunk....and it wasn't anything negative. NOT talking shit. He says Satch is the greatest guitarist he's played with....within the context of his quote it's very reasonable, but regardless it's just an opinion and he wasn't negative towards anybody. NOT talking shit. I think he truly believes that he sold more albums or did when he said that...he said it more than once....and so what if he does? It's not talking shit. None of it has anything to do with Eddie anyway which was the original point. I never said the guy was a saint and never told lie, but the point was Eddie. All the stuff that people think is "talking shit" about eddie is just him telling it like it is. Saying what happened. ANd people take a offense to that....so be it....but i don't consider that talking shit.

If anyone thinks that Ed does not care about what his other band members are doing, re-think that. Ed cared about to kick basically Mike out of the band for touring with Mike during the 2002 Sam/Dave tour for which Sammy had to pled to get Mike back into the fold for the 2004 tour. Also I remember when Sammy was just out of the band he took a listen to VHIII which he said he laughed very hard when he heard it so if it was important to him I'll be it will be important to the brothers. Also with that said I hope that it is important to them to eventually get their asses in the studio and put something out that blows this Chickenfoot album away. Is this not what what we want? Competition breds success and hopefully more music for the fans for which we have been itching for since 1995 (98' for the others). If they were smart they would throw a bone out the fans and release one track with Dave just to say hey we're still out here. Every Chickenfoot song I've heard so far offers something of value, but this is my favorite CF tune to date, though I also like "Down The Drain" and "Oh Yeah" a lot. In "Get It Up," you have the harmonizing between SH and MA, the driving MA bass and CS drums, and the haunting guitar from JS, including his unbelievable guitar solo (listen to the 2:30 mark) -- it's the type of music I came to expect from VH from 1978-1996 (with the type of mix that existed from 1978-1981 and 1991-1995). I could probably do without the "Arriba" screams from SH, but they aren't completely out of place in the song either, especially based on the meaning of the word and the song's title and lyrics.
I understand why those that dislike SH don't want to listen to it. After all, I had no interest in seeing the VH tour in 2007-08 because of the replacing of MA with EVH's son, so I didn't go. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't seen VH in '04 either, but I didn't know what was going on behind the scenes with EVH and MA and I had no idea that the shows I would see would be so lackluster and disappointing. But if you're not listening to some of the CF tunes simply as some sort of loyalty to DLR or hatred for SH, you're really shortchanging yourself. The contributions by JS, CS, and MA are worth it alone. How often is quality guitar-driven hard rock recorded and released anymore, especially with guitar solos from a bonafide guitar hero like JS? To be honest, I didn't expect the CF release to be as good as it is, so I'm pleasantly surprised.

I like the song however something has happened over the past few leaks of songs. My excitement is less than what it was before when news of the project hit. 3/4's of the songs are very good but there is something missing or added that just does not get me to go "man this is great!!!!" Very similar to when I heard the new VH tracks in 2004. Sure it was cool to hear Sam and Eddie again but something was off. I get the same feeling with this. I like Van Hagar and solo Sammy better and feel guilty for thinking of it.
I am hoping that it changes once I buy the CD.

I think VH fans are jaded, with so many good tunes released over the past 30 years. I completely understand why we sometimes feel let down by new releases from anyone in the VH (band) family tree, as I think we have high expectations. But a lot of our high expectations are simply not warranted based on the circumstances (i.e., musical artists with their best, most creative years behind them). I think the same thing will happen if VH ever releases a new CD.
I guess I'd like to hear someone tell me what they were hoping for with the Chickenfoot CD. There's nothing ground-breaking with the music, as it follows a pretty standard approach and format. But I guess that's pretty much what I expected and I can live with that based on the dearth of guitar-driven hard rock music that's released today. The best work from everyone in CF or VH is behind them, but I still think they can provide quality music -- just not the next "Van Halen" or "Fair Warning."
It's also nice to see a band actually enjoying being around each other. It's also nice to see MA get a chance to work with some quality musicians after his departure from VH. MA's a quality person and I hope the best for the guy.
I've seen references to Balance and Humans Being but I don't hear any connection to that material in this work musically...
This song... the mix is pretty muddy. Overall it appears to be more mediocre Hagar song writing in the melody and lyrics department.
Drop the singing... Chad & Mike sound solid. Turn it into an instrumental, it might work. Drop out some of Satch's rhythm layers and clean it up.
It's nice to hear Mike in the front of the mix on so many songs... but it's almost like they are over compensating for 30 years of being buried out of the mix.

Zahzoo, that's great analysis. I can't really disagree with anything you wrote. But I'm still not letting you or anyone else with a music background damage my fondness for the song. ;) I overanalyze everything else in life, as it's what I'm required to do on a daily basis, so I'm trying to omit new music from this level of scrutiny. :)

I notice a lot of people (my own girlfriend included) seem to be quite put off by the whole "Arriba, 'riba!" thing.
I personally find this one of the more appealing things about the song as a whole. Kinda deliver's the song's attitude. Sam's in full party mode with this track and has always had the scream of the gods. I like the 'ribas. It's probably the pitch of his voice. If he tried it a few octives lower it would probably sound pretty ghey.
.....and I've learned to forgive my GF for commenting on this aspect. She shows me a lot of cleavage so, I let stuff slide.

K...listening to it again...aribas still bug me. They're not a deal breaker because the rest of the song is good but it's the one thing from this song that is keeping me from just being all over it. It seems that each song has had something that just blows it for me. Sammy is sounding very Sam Kinisonish during the "ariba riba...oh oh ohhh" part.
I just don't like his voice and the whole "we can change the world" lyric is more than a little lame.

I donno about some of the negative comments about this song. If it was on III or even Balance, ppl would be like: "Right on! This is the perfect heavy song to complement the album, compensating for the softies like CSLY or Once."
The opening riff of this song is a very serious candidate for best riff of 2009 by any band. And the lyrics work becoz the music is so good it makes the lyrics work.
For years, the "angle of attack" against Sammy songs was like "oh cheese, oh not heavy, oh he makes them too commercial, blah blah blah."
Now you get these songs, obviously the previous campaign is dead in the water, and now it's something different.

I am hoping that it changes once I buy the CD.
We just all have our own opinions, likes and dislikes. I'm actually the opposite of you with this. I don't care for any solo Sammy but I like Sam in Montrose and CF. I liked some Van Hagar but Sam made some cool EVH compositions bleh for ME, felt like something was missing then for me.. it's just personal preference I guess. It's not that I haven't given his solo stuff a chance. I've heard a lot of it back in the day pre VH and post..I just don't like it. CF I like. I don't know why, I think Satch is a big factor and the music they wrote together interests me.
I think opinions and favorite CF tunes may change once we have the cd, can hear it all clearly and let it soak in more. I think their tunes are great..great old school rock in a modern era. It's not totally earth stopping though. I'm glad for some people it's some of the best stuff they have heard from any band. For me it's just a cool rock cd from some vets who gel well and rip it up. some people say it's just bland, safe. forced, and generic. I don't agree at all. I think a lot of it is dynamic, has heart and chemistry. It's respectable imo and doesn't sound forced. It sounds like they look live...having fun and serious about their craft.
BINGO!!

1-the title is a little close to "Get Up"
2-song sounds pretty cool until Sammy does the "Get it up areeba reeba!"
Joe Satriani is still a pretty killer guitar player

I really don't see why there has to be a line drawn between loving what VH had and will do and what CF is doing at the moment. VH will do their thing when they are ready and CF is coming out with a album that sounds ok to me for what it is. If you were a big VH fan in the Sammy years then this will be something to enjoy. For me personaly, i never was a big Sammy fan ever, but that doesn't stop me from listening to CF new material and see if i can catch a vibe from it.

To me it sounds different than Van Hagar, as during the Sammy years there was always at least 1 (usually more) keyboard tunes on these records. If not keyboards, then wishy washy stuff like Can't Stop Loving You and Not ENough.
There's none of that on the Chickenfoot record. The "poppiest" song on there is Sexy Little Thing, which is AC/DC like.

Initially a stompin' rocker, with a unique vocal approach on the verses. At the 2 minute mark, the tune takes an interesting turn into Jimi Hendrix territory, featuring some fairly cool guitar work from Satriani.

I really dig the groove. As someone that makes a living driving, this is a song you put on when the drive is starting to drag. If iti doesn't get your blood flowing, you're clinically dead.
As someone that made a living on the radio, this has radio release all over it. No reason it shouldn't be a hit.

They're never getting new music so I hope the striped shoes and a video game help fill that gaping void.
don't get offended, but your post was the one i happened to pick. if vh never records another song or tours again, i would like to be the first to say thanks for some great tunes and a lot of good times. the guys are in their mid fifties and perhaps they have had enough. if ed wants to sell shoes or guitars, its up to him. if you don't want to buy one.............DON'T! do i hope they record some music .......YES! even if they do, it's not like we're going to get another vh1, but i do not want them to record some sub-standard shit just for the hell of it. i loved Sammy in vh, but i think basically everything he was recorded since has been mediocre at best. as far as this bullshit talk of at least they recorded something, that does not wash for me. i'd rather get a good album every ten years rather than a lousy one every year.
as far as the foot, i was really looking forward to the project, but either my expectations are a little too high, but i am honestly a little disappointed so far. i think sammy is at the end of the road as far as vocals, but i figured the rest of the band would make up the difference. i will still go see them when they come to town, but i would go for what they have done in the past and hope that it will lead to a kick ass show.

I agree, I liked maybe 10 Hagar era VH songs. But couldn't stand a lot of the songs such as Right Here, Can't stop loving you...ect. But so far I like every song I have heard on the CD. I'm sure there will be a throw away ballad or 2 but that is to be expected with most bands.

I can say shit about the band. I saw 'em live last week. Tight as shit, vocals nailed, Joe ripping it up, Chad tearing it down. What a four piece hard rock band should be all about. Their swamp-blues BBTW was epic, Turnin' Left was a ball buster, Down the Drain kicked ass. Their cover of Highway Star was staggering.
Sam fan or not, if you can't find something to appreciate about this album and these guys live, in essence a rare return to form of that genre which we all know and love if you're a classic hard rock era fan, in a current musical sea of kiddie goth-emo rock wannabees and mediocrity, then you've got agenda-driven taste.
Can't be random that most all of the dissenters don't have any problems whatsoever with Chad or Joe...just the second lead singer of Van Halen. What a coinkydink!
Of course Sam can still sing like a motherfucker. Speaking as someone who's a recent witness, it's certainly not just studio-engineering, he's as on spot live as ever. I defy anyone to point to many 61 year old men who can still carry pipes like that. A handful at best.

With all the pissing and moaning over the decades about how Sam "ruined" the sound of VH with all the sappy ballads and then we get to CF and there's nothing like that resembling that material here.
Makes ya wonder who was really responsible for the sound of "Van Hagar". Maybe this is what Hagar-era VH may have sounded like had Sammy actually been in control like the Rothies think.

People who pay close attention to the obvious already know the answer to that, of course. It was never Sam that changed Van Halen. It was Ed. Had Dave stuck around, 5150 would've been cut with the exact same compositions...just different lyrics, and vox would've been in baritone instead of soprano. But the keyboards, the ballads...all that would've stayed. Was already happening with Diver and '84. Ed was evolving, like it or lump it. Sam laid vocals over Ed's songs just as Dave would've...perhaps Dave would've made Love Walks In more of an 'I'll Wait' soft rock diddy rather than a ballad with his deeper timbre and tone....but the song structure would've, to wit, remained the same.

Yep. Electra-synth was coming whether Dave or Sam sang behind it. It's silly to say Dave was the stalwart holdout, 'cause his solo records reflected plenty of pop schmaltz. It was the time and era, the flavor of late eighties pop rock, that's all. Not that hard to see, not just with VH, but many of their contemporaries...Rush, GnR, the Scorpions.....
In the hard rock genre of mid to late eighties, one might easily say the only fellas who didn't jump into the synth-pop pool were Acca Dacca.

If you are referring to the QUALITY of his VOCALS. Than you're wrong, IMO. His voice is still VERY strong. And for 62 years old his voice is STILL better than most younger rock singers.
If you are referring to the QUALITY of the lyrics...than you're STILL wrong, IMO. Listen to Learning to Fall. Get Up for Breakfast out of your thick skull and LISTEN to THESE lyrics.
Yeah Soap and a Rope has pretty much stupid lyrics. But DTD, Get It Up, Sexy Little Thing, Learning to Fall, Running Out ALL seem to have some SOLID lyrical content on there.
If you want to keep clinging to the Up for Breakfast/IAT arguments that's fine. But don't expect ANYBODY to take you seriously. :thumb:

As much as I appreciated the keyboard sensibilities of the time, holy shit would that have sounded lame-o-riffic. I just can't hear BJ's screech accompanied by fuckin Moog.

i can vouch for finallyin07 that it's not an anti-sammy sentiment. I know this because he was sitting next to me the last time Sammy played Toronto. I imagine that he'll also be next to me when Chickenfoot plays Toronto next time they come around.
I don't think the stuff is bad, and I've heard everything that's been on here. It's ok - some of the stuff (Get it up) for instance is just a great riff trying to masquerade itself as a great song - others (the ballad, can't remember the name) show that Sam's still got some life in that voice of his. I don't think it's any better than much of Sam's solo stuff. It's a decent rock album but certainly nothing outstanding. But I wasn't expecting 5150, hell Sam is 61 years old. and Joe isn't exactly the songwriting machine that Ed is.
What's funny is that most of those saying that the Foot material is out of this world just happen to be the ones who were so anti VH4. I don't think this is coincidence. I think those that think the album is terrible had that thought in their head before they heard it, and the same is true for those trying to tell us that this is a 5 star album. It's somewhere in between. It's decent. I imagine this will be the case if VH releases something. At that time we'll get all the people that hate CF tell us that VH4 just released a comparable album to VH1 and those that love CF will say the album sucks. In reality it'll fall somewhere in between.
All that said, it will be nice to see CF on the Tonight Show (this Friday) - very nice booking to get on Conan's first week.

I really couldnt have said it better myself. And, having listened to the cd for a week now i can say that overall it's just a decent outing. This tune in particular (Get It Up) is a cool riff. The chorus get's on my nerves, though. But, anyone that is a fan of Satch can tell that the verse melody was written by him....not that it's a bad thing, either. But, this tune could've been on any of Joe's cds as a instrumental with the guitar playing the lead melody. I would've liked it better probably that way. And as for Sammy....he sings fine on the cd. Is his voice alot rougher than years before? Sure. But he can still sing.

If you don't like his lyrics, that's one thing. To say he can't sing anymore is sheer stupidity. The kind of stupidity you find from the mongoloids at another said site that shall remain nameless.
I gather it is your opinion that Sammy's vocals have not changed from his vh days? i have seen sammy live on every vh tour multiple times and if you think his voice today is just as good as 10 plus years ago there is nothing i can say to you that will not result in a pissing match.
i have NOT listened to every track, but i have heard 3-4 and don't care for them. if there is a problem with me saying that then i gather it is not me with the problem.

I think his voice sounds as good as it did 10 years ago yes. Nobody's voice sounds as good as it did 25 years earlier, duh. So good we don't have to have a pissing match. See how easy that was. Let's just say this, Sam's voice has diminished a lot less than Ed's guitar playing has for example in the last decade. I'd rather sing like Sam at 61 than play like Ed at 54.

Yes there is frankly when you make silly blanket statements. Of course Sam can still sing.
I have a shitload of problems with how you voice your opinion. Absolutely. I'm sure I'll get over your caustic personality though one day, don't you fret.
In reality it'll fall somewhere in between.
As with everything in life.

To me Sam sounds better than ever. Watching the '12 days' thing it his clear that his voice is as strong as ever. I can understand how some may not like his sound but you can't argue that his voice isn't amazing after 40 years on tour. Personally I can't yell so I admire how Sam can pretty much turn on his voice at will. One of the classic voices of rock and no one has held up as long as Sam.

i don't notice any meaningful drop off in sam's voice. The guy is a rare bird...a shrieker/shouter who has not lost his ability to do so with age.
I've never particularly cared for him, or his sort, but anyone that says "sam can't sing anymore" is flat out wrong.
I suppose we could debate whether what he does constitutes "singing" or not but there is no debate as to whether or not he can still do what he has always done. he certainly can...and to be honest, I think he sounds better on the chickenfoot tracks than he does on anything I've heard since the 90s.

The best track I've heard from the foot thus far. I agree with the Alice N Chains vibe to it reminds me of Would. I hope the rest of the album sounds like this.

Sam's voice is more grittier than before, it happens with age of course, but he sounds damn good and better than DLR ever did (couldn't help tossing that in). Sam is a vocalist, and his voice has aged accordingly. He likely has good nights and bad, but at the end of the day the guy can still belt it out and sound damn good doing it.
I will say one thing though, Sam's voice does sounds FAR better with Mike's behind it. It really enhances and balances his tone.
If VH IV does make a record, Wolfgang and a 53 year old DLR is anything but a recipe for vocal success, and compared to Chickenfoot's vocals, well, there won't even be a comparison in that regard. Other aspects (guitar, drums, song structure, lyrics, etc.) we can debate, but vocally, Sam, and Chickenfoot as a whole, sound great.
