i really like this band, it's one of the few things that seattle-90's scene has left of good music.

i spent a some time listening the song they did to mi-2 and i think it rocks just like a good old 80's hard rock song. a good band IMO.

I like them too, they have very catchy songs. I didn't know that they made a song for MI2, what's it's name? I saw the movie, and it's one of the best action movies I've ever seen. Tom Cruise kicks ass, he did almost all of the stunts himself. And the babe is hot!

I like them, too. Their new album kicks ass! Learn To Fly got overplayed but I still dig it.

i think the song is called HAVE A CIGAR, and features Brian May... it's a killer tune!!!

Hail Hail Rockin' Grohl!! http://216.10.25.192/vhlforum/smilies/biggrin.gif

Foo Fighters rock!

Did you guys know that at just about every concert, Dave Grohl plays the intro of Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love? Isn't that COOL?

Thanx Lead Synth, I'm just downloading the song on Napster.
I think the bandleader of Grohls "childhood band" didn't allow him to play ATBL and he also told him to "fuckin' stop to threat this fuckin' guitar-shit like a fuckin' musical instrument"...

i'm sorry kurt fans, just my opinion.

Never really gave these guys a chance, bought the Colour and The Shape a year ago because I like "Everylong" and "My Hero." Excellent album, these guys are good. Makes me forget Dave Grohl was ever part of Nirvana. http://216.10.25.192/vhlforum/smilies/smile.gif

Well, I like most of the Foo Fighters' singles, but their album, "Learn To Fly" has a lot of filler. The first couple songs are okay, but the rest sucks. I don't think I'll pick up another one of their albums. I do like some of their songs, though.

hey NOavJOE,

i agree in a certain way with you... the last record has some fillers, but i still like it, and what i like most is that they are moving far from nirvana's music stile.

Don't have their latest one, so can't comment, but I heard it wasn't too good. The "Colour And The Shape" has very little filler on it, good record.

Foo Fighters is definitely a great band. The first CD is my favorite, but I still enjoy the others. It really makes me sad that he and Kurt really didn't collaborate too much in Nirvana. I would have liked to have heard the music they could have written together.

If y'all get on Napster and type in:

Artist: Foo Fighters
Title: Van Halen

...you'll find that there seem to be a whole mess of Foo Fighters live covers of VH songs floating around out there. I haven't been able to download any of these http://216.10.25.192/vhlforum/smilies/frown.gif but they sure do look interesting.
