I can't even get a SINGLE ticket! Is there such high demand for this show that it sells out within minutes?? This cannot be true.

It's at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Never mind about them being sold out. They had the ticket search page up, but it didn't bring up results until 1pm. Unfortunately the best seats I could get were Section 25, and I got right in after they went on sale. I tried again a minute later, and available seats were already up to Section 37!! These things are going fast!!
No doubt they'll have to add more dates, this looks like a popular tour! graemlins/thumb.gif graemlins/bounce.gif

I wonder if "the brothers" spilled their coffee this morning??? ;)
The Detroit show sold 18,000 seats in 10 minutes. (http://www.dlrarmy.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21451)
The VDIII tour couldn't sell that many tickets even with 2 for 1 deals at Ticketbastard or selling them for $5 at gas stations.

well I'm looking at a screen that says SEC 22 for that Chuyahagoaoouhyooo show!
so it's not sold out yet, you just gotta do some fishin'---back out of the "hold tix" thinggy and try it again.

Each one turned up tix in the 30's. Of course, NOW they are coming up in the 20's. I got 25 row P. I haven't seen anything much better than that. The only way I'll get other tix, is if I can get one of the 3 close sections.
I can't believe those were sold out ALREADY!

..and then I cancel those and try again and it puts me in Sec 26

getting tix for the first section ala "right up front" is alway tricky because those are usually set aside for radio giveaways and shit like that. you gotta hit hit the sale as soon as it starts to hope to get those.

somebody at dlrarmy made the comment that a Van Halen reunion with Roth wouldn't sell as fast as these tix are... I find that hard to believe. The main reason these tix are selling soo fast is because of the novelty of seeing the rivalry singers on the same night singing Van Halen music.
but watching these tix fly off the shelf like this makes me think that a Van Halen reunion with Roth would sell out a stadium in an hour --opinion of course graemlins/thumb.gif

And I gots MINE! I LOVE living here! :D
I'll be very surprised if the Blossom show sells out. It holds 18 thousand and even though it's the first show. I was an hour early and the first in line at the ticketmaster. When I got my tickets at 1pm there were only about 8 to 10 people behind me. I thought there would be a little more. Oh well, I'm just glad, I'm going!!!
Although, I do think it would be better if Sam and Dave would do a couple songs together. That's not too much to ask, is it?
I mean, since they are going through all the trouble of touring together in the first place?

I just checked ticketmaster, and as of 12:30 PM EST, Mon 4/22 there are only Lawn tix available...
How many regular seats are there in this place in Detriot???
This is great news! Hopefully, the other dates sell out as well so they can add more shows for us East Coast folks. graemlins/thumb.gif

How many regular seats are there in this place in Detriot???I can find that out if you want. But let me tell you what happened when I got there.
I drove up to the Palace of Auburn hill(you can't use the DTE box office until it opens for the season) at 7:30. There was 4 cars ahead of me so I thought I would do ok. I got in line in side when they let us in at 8:00. Tix go on sale at 10:00. When we got inside the people working there told us that there were 7 other acts going on sale that day. 90% of us were there for Sam and Dave. If there were more than 7 people in line for 1 show, that show would have a lottery to see who would end up first in line. You pull a ticket and if you end up with the winner you are first in line and everyone in frount of you goes to the back. About half of the people ended up saying that they were there for something else. They didn't want to chance it. After that there was only 2 people in front of me. The ticket got pulled and the guy just in front of me had the winne. After that they said they were using 3 windows for Sam and Dave. I thought cool I'll be one of the 3 first in line. I get my tix and they ended up row KK which is ruffly 41st row> what bullshit. I had my wife buy lawn over the phone so I'll probably sell my pravilion seats.
Buy the way DTE holds about 15,000 seats. 7200 pravillion and 8000 lawn.
