Someone told me that he did. Of course that same person also tried to tell me some crazy story about VH putting out an album with the guy from Extreme and having that album go DOA.*

*In this instance DOA is an acronym for "Dead on Arrival", not to be confused with the acronym DOA from side 2 of VHII which of course satnds for "Dead or Alive." :D

Now you're just talking crazy. The More Than Words guy? Didn't he just do a Jesus Christ Superstar revival off-Broadway? Don't be hashin' rumors like that, dawg.

DLR Band.

Great record. Dave definately brings his best stuff when he's rockin'.

I am going with ALAE, Steve Vai has always had a terrible guitar sound IMO, way too processed.

I'm with you Dan! :thumb:

Although my favorite DLR solo song has to be "Hina" from "Skyscraper". it just has a great feel to it.

EEAS. But hey, I also dig me some Skyscraper (Just Like Paradise, Damn Good Times) every now and then.

Cant live without my EEAS! still i like both follow-ups, skyscraper and ALAE. anything after that i thought was bad, although DLR Band and YFLM did have its bright sides, they really didnt have too many.

EEAS is decent, Skyscraper is slightly less so, and I have nothing beyond that. So I'm gonna go with EEAS :)

I picked Skyscraper but I also like EEAS. I saw live Dave with Skyscraper and that album has more great memories for me than EEAS. I like 'em both!! :thumb:

Agreed. For awhole there ALAE was my favorite out of all of them, but I've been into the DLR Band cd for a bit now and it's moved to the top. I really don't listen to EEAS or Skyscraper anymore just because they sound too dated and the quality is terrible. I do enjoy the remastered songs from those two albums on Dave's Best Of cd. As much as I love Steve Vai, he just never really did anything for me playing with Dave. I just can't go from Ed's guitar with Dave's voice to Steve's guitar sound with Dave's voice. Vai's tone just doesn't mix well with Dave's bluesy, baritone voice. Yankee Rose, Bump And Grind and Ladies Night In Buffalo kick ass though. Don't get me started on I'm Easy and That's Life.

DLR Band is just the shit. From Slam Dunk to the last track, just a great record.

This week it's YFLM. Way underated record. Granted there is no great guitar playing, but this record has some of Dave's best lyrics. Also some very cool melodies and chord changes. "No big ting" Very cool middle section.
