Franky, before he/she was franky.

Black and white one on the VH1 cover and used throughout the first world tour and the recording of VH2.

I know the fact that he painted it red started his trademark, but I loved the plainess of the black and white stripes.

Although I love the Wolf's, they just don't have the rough edge(looks and sound) that Franky and the 5150 did. I love the red\white \black trademark that goes along with the latter two, but my fav was the Black and yellow strat on VHII. I had always hoped he would do more like that regularly with different colors.

I love the original paint job as well. That guitar as well as his Ibanez Destroyer was responsible for every guitar part on the first two albums, sans the acoustic stuff of course. In fact that Franky was the main guitar he used through 1984. It's got that one of a kind tone that will never be replicated. I guess I'm just a sentimental old bastard.

THe frankenstrat is my fav but i also like his steinberger it was the first time I had seen a guitar that looked like that..Way too cool!!!!

Ok here is my list. In the order i think is the coolest.

1. Red/White/black Frankenstrat
2. Wolfgang
3. White/Black Unchained guitar
4. VH2 Guitar Black/Yellow
5. Kramer 5150

I like every guitar EVH has used from Franky to Wolfgang. If I had to pick just one it would be the 5150 Kramer.

Seriously, I'm preferential to the VH2 black and gold striped strat and the purple quilted EVHMM, but I do love them all.

My favorite to look at was the Purple Kramer that was striped, and had the Rockinger wiggle stick (although Ed has bemoaned the Rockinger as 'weak').

My favorite sounding was yellow, double neck Ed used for Secrets. I'm not sure what it is about that song, including an amazing solo, but I get the biggest smile on my face.

A man of my own heart Wolfman. I've never owned a Cowboy's cheerleader, but I own a purple EB Musican Man. They both are sweet to look at, might I add. Out.

Franky.. but I also kinda dig the yellow Music Man.

I like 'Em all. I am partial to Franky though. I have Wolfgang and they are great. By the way is the Kramer Baretta the same kind of Kramer guitar Ed used? Just curious

I'll tell ya'll what looked sweet. That multi-color Kramer EVH got during the Diver Down tour. You know, the purple guitar with the orange, yellow, blue, and what ever the other one was stripes. That guitar was cool.
