Dudes, Eddie was doing this same stuff throughout the '04 tour. At least he has rhythm.

Yes this was pretty bad... but think about this:

1. This was not meant for release, he probably doesn't even know this shit is online. If he did he would probably cringe too.

2. It was an impromptu jam session. I play guitar (and have for many years), believe me I have had some bad sessions and good sessions, and never is anything 100% good. Who knows how long this session was, we are hearing the dregs. One of the other clips, he talks about what is about to happen, and he says we will either land on our feet, or fall on our face...we are just havin fun.

3. I heard one of the other Podcasts from this show (diff thread), and the last 15 secs he was jammin, and sounded great (like the real Ed), then the video cut off...DAMNIT!!!

I smiled when my seven year old son did that. I am crying right now watching the meltdown and deterioration of a legend. This is quite sad.

so after watching this, do think sam is right. Ed needs to get under control?

I guess I'm the minority who that was fine. Eddie was doing some slapping on the guitar. I guess he was trying not to be what everyone would have expected. He was just being in the moment at the flower show.

I'm probably not explaining it the way I want to.
In a nutshell, his performance was not going to be 'Panama' or something the crowd would have expected.
