Stevie Nicks

I'm wanting to know if Eddie Van Halen was to play the guitar on any Stevie Nicks album. I've heard that this happened after he appeared on Michael Jacksons album.

Hey Stevie! I just want to first say that I still think you are beautiful, have the most unique voice, and love your music with and without The Mac.
In all sincerity, I am not aware of Edward working with you but I do have a picture of you with David Lee Roth and Chrissie Hynde after a VH show in the very early 1980's.
PS- I hope you and Lindsay Buckingham are still friends. I would love to hear a follow up to "The Dance"

I don't mean to turn this into a Fleetwood Mac discussion board, but to my knowledge, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham are friends and have talked about reuniting togather. (Also there are plans to re-release their 1973 album Buckingham Nicks on CD.)
Back to Van Halen. I would love to see the picture you are talking about.
shouldn't you be posting in the "rumours" section?

Clever 1984. http://216.71.70.54/vhlforum/smilies/smile.gif I would have loved to have heard Eddie Van Halen play on a Stevie Nicks record. I just can't imagine what it would sound like.

I just got a book that has a collection of interviews with Edward in Guitar World over the years and it mentions that after the success of Beat It, he was getting numerous offers, including Stevie Nicks, to guest on albums, but it was always a "policy" of the band to vote on whether Edward should be on other peoples' albums because they want to keep the Van Halen sound and creativity with Van Halen. Everyone was out of town when he accepted the Michael Jackson gig. I guess they feel that if he's going to make anybody's song successful, it might as well be his own.
